    Hey, guys!
After beeing absent since July, when I won a seat in Hilton's Finals (successful business and trips to Paris and Cancun) I'd like to share some thoughts with you.
As most of you aware, the skill factor takes into consideration the frequency of actual advancing score comparing to the average probability.
Example 1: for 2 of 5 the average probability to advance is 40% and let's say someone has actual score (based on his statistics) of 60%. Basically his skill factor is 60/40 = 1.5 for this format.
Example 2: for 1 of 6 the average probability to advance is 1/6 and let's say someone has actual advancing score of 1/3. As you can see the skill factor in this case is 2.
Example 3: for 1 of 2 P(Ave)=50% and let's say Player A advances 70% of the time. If we have only two players (A & B) then we can do two statements:
    a) Player A has a score of 1.4 which means he advances 1.4 times more frequently than the average player.
    b) Player A has a score of 70/30 compering to player B, which means that he advances 2.33 times more frequently than player B

So if we have the group of only two players then our advantage over player B is dramatic because the score of Player A has been taken into consideration to find out average score. But the average score "among other players", which is Player B only, is way lower (30%).

In other words the more players we have the closer average score comes to the "average score among other players".

Let's return now to the example 2:
If we consider the group of 6 players only and one of them advances with 1/3 then S(ave)=2 and average score among other players will be 66.6%/5=13.3% which means our player advances 33.3/13.3 = 2.5 times more frequently than others (average among others than him)

In Example 1 we have average score among others than him 140/4=35, so 60/35=1.71.

    Let's resume what we got:
    a) with the same score in the small group of players we have more advantage comparing with the bigger group of players.
    b) with the score obtained among big group of players it's hard to expand to particular group because of the skill factor among others at your table.

    Happy hunting.
