I'm a newbie w limited tourney experience. I'm playing tonight and the rules r different than what I'm used to. 2 deck shoe...only 14 hands..no surrender. 1,000 each round. elimination format. 63 players. starts in 3 hours.. advice please!!!! thx!! mica
The format may be shorter, but the game will behave much the same. Even with just 14 hands, patience is usually rewarded. Start with minimum bets, and as long as the table is not a runaway you can probably stick with them for the first 9 hands or so, leaving 5 hands to maneuver at the end. Having said that, there are often exceptions: If players get more than a max bet ahead earlier than that, it's decision time. If they reduce their bet size, and look unlikely to get impatient and blow their lead, you should perhaps go ahead and use max bets or all-in bets to get back in the race. Good luck! made it to quarter finals thx for response. I am still at casino ..took first at my table...top two move on. I am on my smart phone. I used strategy written by you.... can't remember if I read it on this site or in your book...anyway...I bet differently from the rest....little when mist bet big and minimal bet at end..,hoping that they busted or dealer made hand...I'll post again after next round...if phone battery lasts...if not..I'll post in morning. thx for help! mica
