Hi. Me again. I realise that the rulebook often goes out of the window in tournament BJ so could you offer advice on splitting 10s? In the last hand or 2 I can appreciate that if you need to get as much cash out as possible you should do whatever is required, but what about mid-game. I've played a few games recently where people seemed to be splitting tens as a rule!! Intuitively I feel that the best time to do it is when the dealer is weakest i.e when showing 5 or 6 but this is obviously not the best play else BS would suggest to do it all the time. What, if any, advantage could be gained mid-game? Cheers Reachy
