The dates have been set for the three St. Ignace events next year at Kewadin Casino. The tourneys are two-day events, with a room for three nights included in the package. March 14-16, June 20-22, and October 3-5 are the dates. More information to come once it's announced by the casino.

    Entered on calendar

I have taken the liberty to make calendar postings of these events even though details are unknown at this time. Having the events on the CALENDAR makes it easier for members to find because forum postings tend to get buried and hard to find. Also if members need to make tentative plans (vacation times, weekend trips, etc.), looking up events on the calendar is easier than the forum.

Since anyone can edit a calendar posting (even if the original calendar posting is made by someone else), please update the calendar as information becomes available. Thanks for making these dates known. I, and I’m sure other members, appreciate the information you provide.

Thanks to both of you for keeping us as current as possible re: the St. Ignace events.
Deb and I certainly appreciate your efforts!

I just received a 2008 Calendar of Events for the Kewadin Casinos. Why I'm still on their mailing list is beyond me but that's a different subject. The dates listed by Schultzy (the first post on this thread) for the St. Ignace BJTs are right on the money. So all you St. Ignace fans out there can plan your vacation time and trips accordingly. The Calendar on this site already has the correct dates listed for your later reference. Good Luck To All!!! :D

    Thanks all for that info

Toolman: regarding your tagline: If you wanna dance you have to pay the band?

I just dance to the music I hear in my mind or you can dance to all the tap dancing that certain people do when it comes to hard questions :joker:

You mean like HAPPY FEET. You must have a picture for that!!! :p

Anyway, since you took an interest in this thread, fgk42, I have to assume you are considering a drive up North to attend a St. Ignace event. That, in itself, may be enough to prompt me to attend - who need Vegas anyway with St. Ignace "around the corner"?.

PS: A better caption for your picture would have been "I feel good --- I new that I would --- so good ---so good"

Toolman, maybe that's an omen that you were sent the 2008 calendar for St. Ignace. Hmmmm, is someone trying to tell you that should play? What are the chances of "converting" you to be a player this year?

Not real good. I guess the real problem that I can't seem to get past is I get a very "uncomfortable" feeling when I play their table games. It's probably just me because others don't seem to feel that way. So, since I want to give action to a casino I attend for a BJT, but I don't like to play there, well, what to do --- what to do --- what to do?

Learn the simple strategy for 9/6 Jacks-or-Better VP. St. Ignace has it for dollars, house edge (perfect strategy) only .46%, further reduced by whatever their comp and cashback rate might be. They've got it in dollars, so you can easily give them as much action as $40 BJ playing 60 hands an hour.

Playing VP puts me to sleep. One half hour of play and I'm ready for a nap - assuming I have a room at the hotel and don't have to drive to their flee bag motel which would kill me because I would fall asleep at the wheel.

There are no bands anymore. It's a DJ or a boom box. And neither have the "tunes" you and I would prefer. But, hey, who knows, maybe St. has a big band. And I'd pay for that. And Juneau, you couldn't beat 9/6. Maybe they'll go 9/7 by March. Anyway Sweetie has been too big a honcho up there for too long. Time to dethrone her. Let's go for it. I'll pull your sled behind my "Woodie" You'll have a blast. Singin "shana na la," all the way.

Toolman better be careful with all the complaints - pretty soon SOMEONE will begin to say, "You complain as much as FGK and LeftNut - you're the reason our society is as bad as it is..." :joker:
