Ignace DD The DD at Ignace or any Kewadin property no longer offers LS, real stupid move with all the competition they have. I have a fresh report that Kewadin and BM are hurting bizzness wise, big hurt. Gotta remember though, Kewadin is so smart that as owner of Greek Town Casino they managed to run that into Bankruptcy and lose over 300 million of the tribes money,,,as well as building the new Ignace Casino Hotel on 98% non gaming property,,what a bunch of clowns:laugh::laugh: Disgusted, CP
Easy picking? Looks like this one will be easy picking for James M. and me! We are the only two members shown in event calendar as attendees at this point. (3 weeks out) That's always nice for guaranteed purse events!!!!! Billy C
Road conditions? Glad to see you'll be there Pill. How many people are you bringing? (Let's hope for good weather-----can be scary up there in March!!!!!) My understanding is that Lefty, Angelrun5 and Monkey won't be there. That takes 3 very top notch players off from the "obstacle list" and improves chances for us but I'll miss their presence. Billy C

No info yet Because I didn't get past the first round, I left early Sunday AM and have no info at this point. There were only 108 entrants but that was by design, I believe (their offsite hotel is still closed for the season). The regular tourney director named Ernie wasn't there because of a surgical procedure but from what I saw, everything went smoothly and NO problems were witnessed by me. The "seat value" (thanks toolman1) for this event might be one of the best ever with only 108 entrants and 30k guaranteed purse. Billy C
Finals Jim V. from Lower Michigan placed third. I didn't know the person who won, but he came from out of last place with two of those max-bet two for one blackjacks on the last three hands. It was surprising how empty the casino was all weekend. They could definitely have used some more tournament players in the place.
Shhhh! That lowers the "seat value":laugh::laugh::laugh: Mr. Pill and at least one other from his group made it to the second round but I don't know what happened after that. Maybe he'll chime in? I think jonny21, Pill and myself were the only BJT members participating. Billy C
It's really not surprising that our BJT members didn't have anyone carrying our banner to the final table if there were only 3 there. Congrats to Jim V. for his nice payday! No great surprise. The Iggy management has been gradually and relentlessly downgrading the tournament package for a couple of years now. Add that to a serious lack of decent video poker plus a constant shortage of BJ dealers on Friday and Saturday nights and people are going to find something else to do that weekend. It's a shame, that used to be the finest BJT in the upper Midwest. The most amazing thing, to me, is that the Sault BJT is the complete opposite experience despite the "house" being owned by the same Tribe. It is almost the same treatment as we used to enjoy at Iggy and I will be supporting it at every opportunity.
Avoided the Re-Buy My first goal is to avoid the re-buy which for some reason I have a hard time doing but this time I did! Second round did not fair so well for me for I busted out around hand 38 (of 42) trying to get to second. Two in our group also made it into the second round but fell short. One in our group made it into the 3rd round which seemed to be a game of survival for all except one. At hand 40 there was just my friend and one other player left (one advance). The only problem was that my friend had $60 left and BR1 had $4000! They did not have to play the last two hands. Hope to see you all in June. Pill
Update on LS Just to note, they do still allow LS on the DD game. Played it this past weekend without question. -Pill
