FYI, It was another great tourney this past weekend put on by the folks at the Kewadin in St. Ignace in the U.P. of Michigan. The only down was that it has been reduced to a $30,000 (12K 1st) instead of the $35,000 (15K 1st) that it used to be. I made it through two rounds and had the high and low on the last hand before the money table and got swung. I feel really good about my betting and play and will be back in the spring. This has got to be one of the greatest tourney values in the midwest. Hope to see Toolman, Slim and anyone else that could make the trip next time. Dan
Day Late & Dollar Short Guess what. Today is 2/6/06. Just opened my mail and got the announcement from Kewadin that they are holding a BJT at St. Ignace on 2/3/06. Talk about a timely mailing. OK, it's a casino, what do you expect. Yes they reduced the prize pool but at least they did the right thing and reduced the entry fee. Personally, I would rather have the higher prize pool. DanMayo & Billy C: How was the turnout? Were they full?
We're Planning On It Mrs. Monkey and I are likely going at the end of April. Mrs. Monkey is going to play, so now you've all been warned... :gun: :yikes:
April - maybe Right now April, 2006 is a definite possibility. But wait a minute. Isn't there a rule against 2 monkeys playing in the same tournament? If not, there should be. Don't want to see St. Ignace overrun by monkeys sticking their win(s) in the face of normal BJT members.   Monkeysystem: If you go, good luck to you. You'll enjoy it but unless they have their new casino up and running don't expect great casino surroundings. Keep in mind that the slots are tight - no, make that stingy. As for Video Poker, nobody plays the machines - need I say more.
New Casino at St. Ignace New casino is schedule to open June 1st 2006. The next Tourney will be in the current one which is being held the last weekend in April. This past weekend I had heard that there was 94 or 97 players in the tourney. Dan P.S. Do they let monkeys cross the Big Mac Bridge?
Bridge monkeys Not legally. They have to swing from the cables at night. All kidding aside Dan, Monkeysystem is a formidable opponent. If you meet him at a final table, he won't be up to any "monkey business".
Cable System Mrs. Monkey doesn't swing, so I'll have to carry her. If you see someone swinging in the moonlight, carrying his woman across the bridge, that won't be Tarzan carrying Jane through the jungle.
