    Stardust is starting their yearlong blackjack tournament of champions this September.

    Invitation only and limited to 102 players per month with an entry of $700.00 and re-buys as available at $700.00.

    Monthly rules: 17 tables, 6 players per table, not sure how many advances per table, number of rounds or number of hands.

    Monthly prize money:

    1st = $10,000 plus qualifies for finals September 2005
    2nd = $ 5,000
    3rd = $ 2,500
    4th = $ 1,500
    5th = $ 1,000
    6th = $ 700

    Finals rules: 3 tables, only 18 players (12 monthly winners and 6 wild cards), 6 per table, 2 advance from each table to finals, not sure of number of hands.

    Yearly prize money:

    1st = $500,000
    2nd = $ 50,000
    3rd = $ 25,000
    4th = $ 15,000
    5th = $ 12,500
    6th = $ 10,000
    7th – 18th = $ 700 each

    Invitational

    You say the SD is invitational. Have any ideas on what play is required to get the invite?

    Not sure

    I hope the best, but I am a little worried about this tourney, for $300 more you can play the Hilton for $1,000,000 1st prize and 16 qualifying for the finals. Also where are the players going to come from (the re-buys will help), the Hilton is only getting 120 to play each month in a open tournament and most of them are on the Stardust exception list.

    My guess is if you can play in their VIP tournaments you can get in this one and even if you play in their normal BJ tournaments (like this 16-18) I think you'll be able to get in to it to fill it up.

    I do like the fact only 18 are in the finals, two round finals with top two from each of the three tables will make the final table and the $500,000 1st place prize money will make it interesting to see how many players will play this tournament.
