    Final Round

Do we have a list of people how qualified for the finals in May? Excellent job to all that qualified in December. I'll see you in May.

Finally there for the third year

I'm not sure whether this was my fourth or fifth qualifier for MDBJ3 but I'm sure happy to be one of the Sweet 16. :)

I'll also finally be in the Play by Play section here but unfortunately you won't be seeing any of my plays there, just my name. I advanced from the semifinals, but busted out on about hand 15 of the finals, winning the $1500 for 7th place.

The dealer was pretty tough for the first ten hands, and even with $100 bets I was down to $4400. Most of the rest of the table was in the same situation though. Still, I had some tough players seated behind me and an expected third-to-act on the final hand. On hand 11 or so, I decided to make up some ground on the leader. I bet $900 to take the lead, and lost. On the next hand, I bet $1300 to again take the lead. I lost. With my chip count down to $2100, I took a breather for a hand, and won $100. (Of course!)

On the next hand, I bet half my bank, and unsuccessfully doubled my 10 vs a dealer 8. That's my final round. Three big bets, three big losses.

At least Loyd Bagot cheered me up after the round. He said "Kenny, I have two words for you... Mission Accomplished."

After I recover from the trip, and get my email working on my new computer, I'll get the Frontier and Hilton final tables posted.
