TBT withholding funds canceled!

After reading several compelling posts, and after talking with many of our TBJPA players, I have decided to cancel all future withholding of TBT championship funding for the rest of the year. This includes the upcoming Seattle (Iron Horse Casino) and Las Vegas (Tropicana Casino) events. In addition, TBJPA will refund the championship monies withheld from last three TBT events to all participating TBJPA members. (Note: no funds were withheld from the first Laughlin (River Palms) TBT event.

Although the goal of sponsoring a major end of year TBJPA tournament was a good one, it is apparent that it needs to be postponed for the time being. The primary reason is I have been unable to confirm a location and date for the TBJPA/TBT Championship event. As some of you remember, the original verbal commitment by a major casino to host the championship event was revoked when there was a management change.

Monies will be returned to all participating players in the near future (within 30 days), either in person or by mail.

Several issues surrounding the championship tournament are currently being re-evaluated, including the TBJPA tournament point leader competition. Additional posts related to these issues will be forthcoming in future posts.

Thanks for the feedback from all who helped with this important decision. We’ll keep listening!

Hope to see you in Seattle and Las Vegas.
