    What kind if bankroll would be needed per person to go on this cruise from Ca.? From memory its not all inclusive. What are the tournament buy ins costing and how much might food cost etc per person? Must be about 5 grand?

    Depends?

    The tournaments are $300 entry each (3 total) and that is if you elect to play in all of them.

    There is a one time $80 fee for all the players, this cover the expences.

    The re-buys are as follows:

    1st = $150
    2nd= $100
    3rd = $ 50 (why hit the players up for $150 everytime?)

    These tournaments are for fun and to help the newer players learn so I try and make them as player friendly as possible.

    As far as food it is all free with purchase of your passage, however drinks you do have to pay for.

    So lets see, if you play in every event and re-buy every time, plus your $80 fee, that would be:

    $300 entry
    $150 1st re-buy
    $100 2nd re-buy
    $ 50 3rd re-buy

    $600 total per tournament X 3 tournaments = $1,800

    $1,800
    + $ 80 fee

    $1,880 total for tournaments + misc. to take with you.

    Now here is a guess-a-mit to what the travel would cost you?

    $100 plus taxes for hotel in Jacksonville + transfer
    + $400 air to Jacksonville (I guess around $400)
    + $500 cruise + taxes and fees (per person)
    + $400 2nd air for whoever goes with you
    + $500 2nd passenger on the cruise

    $1,900

    So worse case you would be out around $3,700 to get there and play in every round without winning once.

    In most case's last year we only had 2 re-buys at the most so that would save you $150...LOL

    And remember they do have a casino on board and we will go to Atlantis once we hit the Bahamas so have a little extra cash with you.

    Cabins are almost gone on this cruise, call Jim Thimas at Point Loma travel if your interested in going.

    Jim's number is: 1-800-783-8646 or 619-421-3991.

    *NOTE: All passengers wanting to play in the BJ tournaments must book through the Texas Tournament booking number or Carnival won't allow you to play in the tournaments.

    Cant make it this year

    Maybe next, need a few months to plan it out because my busy time is during summer. Sounds like a good value and I can guarantee the wife will fall for it in a flash! She is curious, tho, if the average age of a tournament player is 75+! LOL

    Also another suggestion for this year after you turned my Texas Two Step down. Get Paul and Hollywood a room together with one bed. Who knows, they might become real close! LMAO Paul could move to Hollywierd!

    You're a cruel man...LOL

    I would love to see Paul, Hollywood, Joep and any one else that would like to come on the cruise this year to sign up and go with us.

    I would be more than glad to deal all the head up games they wanted.

    It would be fun watching, and you know there would be some heavy duty BS being tossed around...LOL

    What scares me is they have had too many deaths on cruise ships this year and with all of them on board I think that total would get bigger.

    True. But those are the stories that legends are made of. Anyways, it would make international news. And isn't any press, good press?

    I can see the headlines now...

    "Killer Blackjack Tournaments" on the high seas.

    "Celebrity Blackjack cruise goes Fatal"

    "Killer Cruise"

    We could have the only cruise where other cruise ships would be calling ship to ship asking us to keep it down...LOL

    Other Headlines

    With my girlfriend Stormy/Storminator on the cruise we could have a few other headlines.

    "Stormy Rocks the Field Like a Hurricane"

    "Storminator Dominates Stormy Blackjack Cruise"

    Overheard telling Rick Jensen on the last hand. "Your terminated f---er"

    Overheard telling thrasht on the last hand. "I'll be back"

    Tells Joep (if he goes) on the last hand. "Hasta la Vista baby"

    O'my God!

    We could have the Head to Head matches from Hell!

    If I can get Hollywood to come on the cruise the bullets and glasses maybe flying for real...LOL

    It is looking like Joep (as a dealer) and Paul (the Assassin) Hass as player may both be going on the blackjack cruise in August.

    Thing are starting to get interesting...LOL

    If Hollywood doesn't go I might just have to rip my dealer shirt off and take care of Hollywood's unfinished business. Unless Hollywood is going to rip his shirt off first after sending Paul to the life boats :laugh:
