I wanted to send a big thank you to everyone who has been participating in the process of adding and updating events on the Event Calendar.

It's been quite active lately, with many members taking the time to keep all of us informed. Thanks!

You can always check the latest changes in the calendar by viewing Recent Updates.

    I LOVE THE CALENDER :D

It is the members who thank you, Ken, for making the calender possible. I, for one, would be playing a lot less tournaments if I didn't find out about them through the calender.

Most everyone knows that I push the calender as much as practical so I also think it's great that there is an increase in activity. But let me add one thought. If anyone knows of errors in a calender posting, use the "Edit" function to make the correction. You don't have to be the one who originally posted the event to make an edit. It's easy and keeps the posting up to date.

One more thing... I suspect that many of the smaller weekly events listed are inaccurate. For example, with Rebuy Bob's assistance I recently reworked the Washington state listings, and there were tons of corrections to be made.

If you live in an area that has tournament activity, take a second to look up your home casinos in the Casino List, and see what we have listed. As toolman1 points out, editing an existing event is easy and open to any member. If you'd prefer that I make the changes, that's fine too. Just email me or private message me with the details.

If an event has been cancelled, there's no "Cancelled" button. Instead, I've been editing the event name, adding **Cancelled** to the front of the name. Then, I add a "final event date" on the dates page, and set it to 12/31/2006, or some date like that. Again, if this is confusing to you, feel free to just pass along the necessary details to me, and I'll edit the event.

One of the future enhancements for the calendar will likely be an easier way to mark events as cancelled or indefinitely postponed.

I would suggest to define Las Vegas as a region in the calendar to allow searches for Las Vegas only.

Good idea. It's something I've considered before. I'll get back to thinking about it.
