I was woken up in the night by this, my bed shaking alarmingly. Curiously, unless I'm getting totally confused, I was awake and noticed nothing at the time of the main quake, but was woken up by the aftershock. Hardly seems possible.

Hopefully no damage around here, though I have yet to venture outside to check. The epicentre was some distance away, and there were some injuries apparently, all minor as far as I know.

Probably would have seemed like nothing to those of you from California, but it scared the hell out of me! :D

Everything OK with all my compatriots? Andy, it was rather closer to you I think.

    In a state of shock!

    Earthquake.

Don’t worry guys I am still here but in a total state of shock.

I was watching TV at 12:56 when my house started to shake and for a minute I thought that I was actually in the action film that I was viewing.

This is the second Earthquake that I have experienced so I am now a veteran (Manchester a few years ago).

It was not the Earthquake that shocked me but Colin’s admission that he was in bed at 1:00 and still not playing in a Blackjack Tourney on the net….lol.

Seriously. I can say that it was pretty scary because we British are not used to this kind of thing and the quake only give a blip on the Richter scale.

Those Californians who are living over the “fault” know a thing a about real Earthquakes and don’t appear to give a damn about their destiny and just get on with it.

Californians appear to have nerves of steel and from all accounts don’t drink or smoke which is a credit to them.

I sometimes worry about Hollywood Dave’s safety who is out there working in the movie industry. Trust me I really do!

It is a well-known fact that everything that happens in the USA will eventually cross over the pond and will appear in the U.K. years later.

So according to the above theory, now that we have started to experience US earthquakes it should not be long before a Las Vegas super-casino will be built in Britain.

    Andy ;)
