The problem with betting last on the final hand...

    ...is that you have to bet first on the hand before! Sometimes it can be more difficult (to me anyway) when you have a chip lead. Do you bet big and potentially give up the low or bet small and potentially give up the high? Bet large enough to give you the surrender low? Max bet minus 2xchip difference? Lucky dip?

    So what I'm asking is do you follow any general rules or strategies on the penultimate hand when betting last on the last hand, whether you have a chip lead ot not? Reveal all....

    Against average players, a general betting strategy I use is to bet small if there are less than 4 people and 2 advance, if there are more people on the table, I tend to bet max because usually people tend to bet max on the last hand where I play. Again, this is just a general strategy, not the most optimal since an optimal strategy requires taking many factors into consideration.
