The Red River casino in Oklahoma is hosting a "Chopper blackjack tournament" this Sunday Sept. 24th. Entry is $120 and first place is (what else) a new Chopper (no cash option)! The rules are a little strange, but they may work in a seasoned players favor. Like I said the entry is $120, each player starts with 200 in NCV chips. Minimum bet is $5 to maximum $25 per hand. Deal will rotate. They play 35 hands. 6 to 7 players per table. (they were sure) I believe the top two players advance (they weren't for sure on this rule either). Blackjacks pay 2 to 1. (don't care much for that but) Only 2 splits allowed, DD after splits are allowed. Split Aces only one card. DD on any first two cards. Now the funny part, if you advance yo can pay another $120 in the 2nd round for an extra 200 in NCV chips. And should you advance to round 3, you may pay another $120 for another 200 in NCV chips. First time I ever saw the winners having to pay more than the losers. One other little catch, I just found out that to play you have to be signed up by noon tomorrow (Sat. 23rd). I am thinking about driving up (about 2 hours and 15 minutes from my house) If I should win the chopper I'll make somebody a good deal on it...LOL Sorry about the late notice I just found out about the Sat. sign-up myself. Swog and I were talking about going up on Sunday, now I guess we leave tomorrow if we are going up. They expect 150 players I was told.
Don't sell the HAWG You don't have to look any further than your own back yard. I heard swog is looking for a disguise. Long hair, tattoos, full leathers, skull cap, and died hair. I think he will go for it.
Airwolf I got all excited because I thought you were talking about a helicopter....now that's a tourney prize.
Lets Talk ... after you win it Tex. Last week I ordered a new Harley-Davidson Heritage Softail Classic from the factory. Final cost almost $28,000. I put a $1,000 down and it won't arrive at my local Harley shop until early November. If you give me a deal I can't refuse I'll cancel my order and buy yours. If it's a sweet ride I'll be ready to scoot. thrasht
Go kick Butt I have all the faith in the world that your going to win this weekend. Easy Rider all the way for you Tex. Just don't try to hide your stash in the gas tank. lol
Noman You got that right Noman. I haven't seen Easy Rider in over 20 years. I'll have to rent it now that we've talked about it.
Chopper tournament The Chopper tournament was a disappointment for the casino they said with only around 70 players. I made it to 3rd round just missed final table by 100. Finished 8th.
