There are a lot of software applications that claim to teach "expert" blackjack play. Has anyone used any of those applications that he or she would be willing to recommend to others?
    Thanks :)

    Casino Verite by QFIT

CV is very good, soon to be adding a tournament simulator I believe. I think most experts look at it as the industry standard but I may be wrong.

    Blackjack Software

    Traynor,
There are two different software applications that are above the rest.
They are both listed at the bookstore at the sister site blackjackinfo.com
    http://www.blackjackinfo.com/catalog/
Both are worth the price, one contains quite a bit more information, but at a higher price.

Weren't you doping an extensive review?

If I remember rightly, weren't you doing a review of training software? What's the latest?

    Cheers

    Yes Reachy,
We should have a comparison with a chart for Casino Verite and Blackjack 6-7-8 up this week.

swog - I hope we agree

Forget about "BLACKJACK 6-7-8". Very amateurish programming, makes you feel like you are playing a game made for a 2 year old. But it is cheap. But then you get what you pay for. Just my opinion. Oh, by the way, I deleted the program from my computer.

    training materials

Perhaps I should re-phrase the question. If you could design/plan the ideal software to teach blackjack playing skills, what would it be like? What features would you want, and what level of skill?

Imagine yourself as the cheerleader of a group of highly motivated, competent people who want to form a blackjack team for professional-level play in casinos. You have two new recruits who are perfectly suited in every way to join the team, except that they are not very adept players. How would you get them up to speed in the shortest time possible?

I am not interested in developing an application for commercial sales. I am much more interested in an application that could be used to train novices or intermediate blackjack players to make the jump to professional-level skills fairly easily and as fast as possible. Any ideas, suggestions, or wish list items would be sincerely appreciated.
    Good Luck :)

    A good fit

CASINO VERITE (V. 4.0) should suit your needs fine. One can use it with various count systems, it will keep track of your errors - both playing and betting, give a count whenever you desire, provide many statistical tables to analyze a session of play, etc.. I don't count (except chips) so I can't vouch the product in this area. It has many other features that can be customized as desired. Also, dealer and player speeds can be easily adjusted as your players increase their proficiency. Add to this a realistic casino table with very professional programming and you have a product that provides excellent training.

    Just a side note:
Nowadays team play is hard to get away with for any length of time. Casinos are much wiser today that during MIT MIKE's days. Getting tagged as a team member can end your gambling career really fast.
