The Tropicana in AC is having a $1,000,000 invitational tournament on February 20th and 21st. When I asked for details at the promotions booth their brochure with information on the tournament was missing. Does anyone know what level of play is required to receive an invitation to this tournament? Jon
another advertisment gimmick Jon, It seemed at first that it might be a worthwhile event. People in marketing kept making up stuff and were right out lying that it was illegal for them to tell any details about the tourney and required play to become Diamond Club member. My sources indicated that it might be just slightly more difficult to become Diamond there then in Harrah’s club. Then you need to earn additional 250 points before January 15th. But the real trouble is that it is not one-on-one $1 Million tourney but a $35K total prizes blackjack tournament. The next day they offer some gimmicky play against the dealer where three sevens of hearts win the advertised prize. It may be connected to their introduction of four decks blackjack, so the value of a single hand is less than three stinking dollars. S. Yama
