New Jersey's Casino Control Commission declined to renew the gaming license of Columbia Sussex Corp. That means they will be forced to sell the Tropicana in Atlantic City.

This company also runs the Trop and Westin in LV, River Palms and Trop Express in Laughlin, Montbleu and Horizon in Tahoe. I think their former Mississippi property had been sold already.

    Good News

Good riddance to these owners. They were offering the worst cuts in blackjack games in AC. The best cuts I saw the last few times through were 2 decks cut off of 8. Most dealers were cutting off about 2 1/2 decks and I saw a couple dealers cut off just over 3 decks. Even by AC standards, this is bad.

    I won't miss them.
