    Stats from 05/23/07

In the Conventional Blackjack Tournament with a $100 buy in, we had 81 participants, with 58 rebuys. This brought the prize pool to $11,000. Then with the 10% Cherokee adds on, the total prize pool was $12,100. With a great showing like this, Saturday looks to have an awesome turnout and prize pool!

    bad odds

wildwoods - i expressed that your casino has the worst odds at its tables. and it does in comparison to all the casinos i have been in.

your tournaments are an asset and i did not mean that your tournaments were bad odds. in fact i believe that your tournaments far exceed the norm in the industry.

however your non-tournament table odds are the worst and the blame has to be on the 50 cent "ante" and your house rules such as hitting soft 17's, multiple deck shoes, etc.

in combination (the ante and the house rules) it makes playing blackjack (non-tournament) at your casino a losing proposition with break even a remote possibility. roulette and craps also have less payout odds than any crap table or roulette wheel i have seen in the dozen or so casinos which my wife and i attend regularly.

law makers in this country have screwed up the avid gamblers potential and fun with their stupid non sense laws and given us the worst bet in the history of mankind - the state lotteries!

wildwoods we need people like you to better the blackjack tournaments with your innovations. the only problem is that you are at the wrong casino in the wrong state!

    final question

cherokee casino is full of bad news - first and formost it was the ante, then hitting soft 17's, no comps whatsoever, rebuys at half the costs, little or no shuttles. final question - when someone does win a tournament i bet the state taxes the hell out of the winnings?
