I was wondering if anyone knew when Tulsa (Cherokee) is having another tourney?

They were great tourney's and enjoyed them alot.

We wish to go again but need to make plans for it........:)

All dates are just tenitive still...

I've talked with Eric a few times, as of now they are talking about hosting the blackjack tournaments seperately from the poker events on the last week of October, but as I said this is all tenitive still.

Steve (Tulsa's asst. tournament director) is coming out to the Laughlin TBJPA events next week, maybe he'll have more information on the Tulsa blackjack tournaments at that time.

I'll post exact dates as soon as I hear any.

Still nothing set in stone for Tulsa...

I'm not sure what's happening in Tulsa for the Cherokee blackjack tournaments.

I have been told that Eric Woods is no longer the Tournament Director (I hate to hear that), Eric is still there he has just been moved to a different department.

No word on who will be the new tournament director, however Steve is still there and I'm sure he will be helping run the events.

The lastest word I have is that the tournaments will be scheduled for October 24th - 28th. These proposal was just summited to the gaming commission, so we maynot hear any confirmation for a few weeks still.

I know Tulsa is going to host the blackjack tournaments seperate from the poker tournaments this time (which should be a good thing), but they need to get the word out ASAP.

After working so hard to build up their blackjack tournaments, I am hoping that this lack of advertising doesn't hurt them. I have heard a few players express concern that Eric hasn't contacted them back after they left messages. Please don't get mad at Eric, I don't believe he is even getting any of the blackjack tournaments messages anymore.

Once I hear a confirmation I will post here with any up dates.

Blackjack is so much more popular than poker, just compare the number of BJ tables to the number of poker tables in the casinos . So why are poker tourneys much more popular than BJ tourneys. Just look at Tulsa for example BJ events 5 days, poker 20 days. Tex even your tourneys only last 3-4 days yet most poker events last 10-20 days. Is it the BJ players won't stay several days to play in several tourneys or what?
