Hi All, Looking around your merry little site and am interested in playing tournament blackjack. My questions are these: 1) What types of blackjack tournaments are there? 2) Are blackjack tourneys usually set a time limit, or is there any other way to play? 3) where are there semi-decent tourneys that I can try out? 4) do any sites have practice blackjack tourneys? I'm guessing that the only people whom will check in the newbie section is newbies themselves, so I'm not to confident of getting a reply that I'm looking for, but here's hoping
We're here to help! The more senior and experienced players (not me - newbie and senior forum member) very regularly come to the newbie section to help us out. Expect full and detailed replies from some of the best professionals in the game! My advice is go to www.globalplayer.com. It's the only site that offers "proper" tournament style BJ. There literally is no other site. Cheers Senior Newbie Reachy
Most of the players here check all the sections and try to help out all players, both seasoned and newbies.
Wow Hi again, Thanks for the fast responses, it's great to see that there is people here realy willing to help Another question of mine (which will probably not be answerable if you're living in America) is do you know of any places which host live brick and mortar blackjack tourneys in Europe? I am going to start travelling soon and would be interested in seeing (and possibly playing ) a live tourney. Thanks again and rock-on!! p.s. Is it the general consensus that global-player.com is the best/only place to go for great online blackjack?
If only.... As far as I am aware (and ANDY956 has more info on this) there are no tourneys in the UK but there are some in Austria/Germany. As for Global Player, until the UBT site goes live there really are no other sites that offer elimination-style BJ tourneys. Have you played at Global yet? Cheers Reachy
Multiple elimination format Yes, the UBT will be an elimination format, but it will be a multi-elimination format. That is where there will be forced elimination of players will the lowest chip total after certain hands through out the round on each table.
