It's a freeroll you won't find anywhere else! Only UBT offers Elimination Blackjack™ tournaments and the chance to win extravagant trips, great prizes, and to appear on CBS.

Starting January 20th, play for a free final table seat at UBT's next tour stop scheduled for Europe! UBT is gearing up for the May 2007 European Tournament and we need YOU to fill out the final table! The lucky winner will go to Europe for FREE and play at the final table, which will be filmed for an upcoming episode of the Ultimate Blackjack Tour!

The first tournament begins January 20th at 7PM, with a second running at 9PM. All subsequent tourneys will run daily at:

    1:00AM EST
    10:00AM EST
    2:00PM EST
    4:00PM EST
    7:00PM EST
    11:00PM EST
Two Final Qualifiers will run on February 24th at 10AM and Noon.

    What Do I Win?

You will be flown to Europe, already pre-qualified to play at the final table, airfare and accommodations included. (Passport may be required and is the responsibility of the winner.) And you’re guaranteed to come home a winner, since everyone at the final table will earn a payout. All this from a freeroll!

    So How Do I Play?

It's simple. Just download the Elimination Blackjack Tournament software at PlayUBT.com. Register for your free account, and you're ready to play. Enter as many Sit 'n' Go tournaments as you like; there's no limit to how many you can enter, or how many you can win.

When you win a Sit 'n' Go tournament you'll get a Tournament Entry Chip that gets you into one of the six daily scheduled tournaments. Make the final table (you don't even have to win) and you're automatically entered in the UBT TV Freeroll. The winner of that will be seen on TV at the final table of an upcoming tour stop. And remember, there can be more than one winner!

*UBT reserves the right to make changes to the dates, times and locations of the final table.

Now not one to be critical or anything - yeah right! - but WHERE in Europe? When in May? WHY?

Well there's minor details like, oh I don't know, airfare, hotel accomadations, time off from work, etc., etc., etc.

I guess only the "elite" will find out about this, like Aruba, just 2 weeks before the event. So the UBT "regulars" get to play against each other, AGAIN, with a token freeroll - just to make it look good.

Is this really any different that the invite only from Season 1 or the WSOB Seasons 1-3? Those who are "in" get and the rest of us stand outside, in the cold.....

    Paris location

The European location for May is Paris, France. The host casino will be the Aviation Club.

I got this information from Joep's post several months back under "UBT 2007 schedule".

    Sorry no dates were listed.

TX, Thanks. The interesting thing is the Aviation Club in France doesn't have Blackjack listed on their website - see for yourself:

    http://www.aviationclubdefrance.com/home_uk.html

Was Aruba in March listed on the UBT 2007 schedule also?

You know it's funny how the UBT people say that people "bitch/moan/complain" about their "game" but they do NOTHING but shoot themselves in the foot when it comes to promoting it!

Lets look at facts shall we?

Aruba 2006 - Freerolls announced in the middle of the night and held for 1 day. Attendence around 250 (100 plus from poker)

St. Kitts 2006 - Only 100 paid players (50,000 freeroll for those who went - very nice) BUT St. Kitts Marriott DIDN'T send the 100 promised players

The Palms 2006 - INVITE ONLY

The Venetian 2006 - INVITE ONLY

    Barona 2006 - INVITE ONLY

Aruba Marach 2007 - Freeroll was held and place at the final table awarded - tourney was/is .........................

Palms April 2007 - Scheduled (for now)

Europe May 2007 - who knows?????

I mean if you only want self-employed/retired/wealthy players to attend then fine. Hold INVITE ONLY events, film them and air them, just like WSOB did in season 1-3.

But to make MAJOR ANNOUNCEMENTS promising these huge prize pools and pumping us little guys up just to yank our chains - that isn't fair. :flame:

    March and August

Joep had the next Aruba event scheduled for March with Bet21 as the host and another one in August with Ulitimate bet as the host.

No dates or locations were listed.

With Bet21.com acting as host next month, I would think they would want to clear up this on going bonus situation before the event. Just doesn't look well for them to be spending money to host UBT events when they owe so many players bonus money.

Here's a thought Bet21.com, why not pay the bonus money you owe before spending money on sponsoring other events or more commercials. I can promise you that the majority of the players would like their bonuses a lot more then you sponsoring events out of the country that over 95% of them can't attend.

My point exactly. How do you expect people to make plans, airline plans, hotel reservations, etc. with only 10 days left in the month of February?

I posted earlier that the March Aruba event would be cancelled - just my hunch. But how many people can you expect to go if you only announce an event 10 days before it occurs?

I give Eric Woods credit on this account. He is planning a week long event for May 2007. At least I believe him and have that time pencilled in.

Does UBT expect people like me to simply clear my calendar, drop everything, pay out the nose for airfare & hotel to go to Aruba with 1 weeks notice?

I think Aruba in March has been cancelled. I agree that UBT needs to communicate a lot more about the schedule.

    Opp's....

So Bet21.com may not be sponsoring a UBT event in Aruba after all.

MMMmmmm, makes me feel a lot better about getting our Bet21.com bonuses now, knowing the Bet21.com sponsored UBT event in Aruba may have been cancelled...LOL

The entire UBT idea was good, but as fgk and Ken pointed out, lack of communication and having companies like Bet21.com represent them by using their EBJ format and all their excuse's and failure to give out bonuses has really hurt them, not to mention the new laws passed on internet gambling.

    March / Aruba

According to the UBT folks that Deb and I met in L.A., the Aruba event was scratched due to the sponsor(s) bailing out. Another direct result of the recent online gambling crackdown. The reason we know this is because Deb was the playUBT.com freeroll winner, and we had some rather direct questions for them while we were there. She will be playing a TV table at the Palms in April instead.

Ah, glad that's at least been addressed. The Palms isn't exactly Aruba, but I bet the prize money will be better than it would have been in Aruba.

  10. OH no!

    Fred,

Is your son in the navy by chance?
