Ultimate Bet 12am Tourney

    I've played in several of their scheduled open tourneys since the since the site opened. Tonight I tried to register for the 12am "open" tourney and got a message saying it was an "exclusive" tournament. I recognized several names from this site, so I was hoping someone could tell me if that was an invitational or a computer glitch?

    Thanks in advance. FYI--I play under the name Niria on UltimateBet.com.

    ***I just realized I posted this in the wrong catergory. If the powers that be could please put this in the Online Casino category I'd appreciate it. =)

    Access to the 12am tourney was also denied to other players last night. Clearly a glitch at their end.
    The site also froze up during last night's 10pm tournament and some players could not re-log and got kicked off the tournament.
    Welcome to the internet.
    They are doing maintenance work this am, hopefully it will help.

    12 am

    I think 12 AM is noon (EST), not midnight. That is confusing too.

    PS: I am glad to hear that it wasn't just me having problems. For some reason one night I kept getting kicked to sit out instead of being able to play. I thought it was my desktop computer because I haven't had problems using my laptop.

    Also it will be nice when they let us use our bonus dollars for BJ play.

    I was one of the ones that was in the 10PM tourney when it froze.

    For anyone else, I contacted UB about it and they told me it's 'under investigation' when I requested my account be credited.

    How about this one....

    I tried to get into the 1800 EST scheduled tourney. When I clicked on register I was told it was a private tourney and to check back later. Every 5 minutes I tried again and was told the same thing.

    Interesting thing is only 20 people registered. One of them a member here, and you know who Mr. _______UBT.

    They cancelled the tourney because they didn't have 30 people, the minimum number. Interesting..........

    UB Frustrations

    I have encountered the same problems (exclusive tournaments) again at 6pm to-day and have e-mailed the Tournament Director at UB. Great site at this point with glitches and very slow customer support. The quality of responses is actually very funny at times. They need to clean it up.

    I believe it's fixed now. I was able to get on the 10p tourney. My first one since the problem last night.

    Now I'm peeved. The scheduled tournaments haven't been working for the last 24 hours for me. Not 1...EXCEPT for the 10p $20+2 tourney. Of course the most expensive one of the day I can get in on. Then again at 12a it won't let me on. Total BS IMHO.

    Couldn't get in either even though there were plety of spots available.

    Still haven't been refunded from last night's error either.

    Same here on both issues. I can access all but the $5 tournaments.

    More problems

    What is even more frustrating is to be playing and keep getting bumped off to "sit out" when trying to make a bet or play a hand. I thought it was just me the other night, but last night I was ok, but other people were complaining their computer was acting up. My chat feature doesn't seem to work, I can see posts sometimes, and other times it is completely blank. I can't post a chat at all.

    I see they have both a 12AM and 12PM game now, so I assume 12AM is midnight and 12PM is noon. When they first went up, there was only the 12AM which I figured must have been a mistake and was supposed to be noon since they had a 10AM and 2PM but no 12PM.

    Makes me appreciate chat on GP in tournaments. At least you have live online support and you know what is going on.

    This is exactly the problem I have been having and I have reported it to them several times. Customer service stinks...they deny there is problem with people being randomly unable to play every hand and being listed as absent when in fact they are there but the program halts their play.

    I have stoped playing real money games until they fix this bug. Its pointless to play this game when you may not be able to paly all the hands....in fact I am unable to play at least one hand ...often two or more of almost every game.

    The game runs slow and its impossible to play two games at once .....I often do this at BJ21 to add pressure in the thought process ....cant do it with this game.

    The game seems like it was rushed past the beta stage ...this is a fatal error that you would be foolish to risk real money on. Unless of course you are not plagued with this error ...then bet like crazy becasue most people are playing at a real disadvantage.

    I am unimpressed with Ultimate Bet so far...customer service is poor...the program isnt working properly which makes it foolish to risk real money on the gamble that you may or may not be able to play the same number of hands as the rest of the table.

    The game is great ....when it works ...its a blast ..the twists and turns make a new challenge.....I hope UBT picks better sites or reworks its program soon....you only get one chance to make a first impression...Ultimate Bet has failed miserably so far.

    I see the real play dropping off....its hard to get a practice game going.....nothing about Aruba for BJ players either...maybe we will hear about that next Sept...;-)

    What I can't understand is that after all the hype about elimination blackjack. Why does'nt UltimateBet put up a representative on here to reply to some of these questions, like BJ21 and Global Player do regarding problems and queries about their sites?
