Greetings, I'm in Vegas for the Hiltons BJT. Any other members here? I enjoyed meeting some of u in July and would love to see some familiar faces. Post a message or send a pm if u r in the area. Good luck! Mica
check tournament page Check the tournament menu on this site and you can see on line names of all at the Hilton this week. Bjbeauty and I are among them.
Deb and I are here, so is BillyC and rumors say Jonny21 is, too. More that I can't think of right now. Best place to find us is usually in the sports book, at the video pokers by the deli.
I had long-standing plans to be there, but, as often happens, life has gotten in the way. Best of luck to all!
It was a good time! Sure was great to see so many BJT.com friends again. DrBass and BJBeauty, UncleAbe, Jonny21, BillyC, Rookie789, Leilahay and Marichal, Mica, RebuyBob, and I know I'm forgetting some right now but just got off one of those miserable overnight redeye flights.
None that I know of. Marichal and I got to round 4. DrBass was doing quite well but I'm afraid I don't know how he ended up.
dr. at least you only were flipped on the last hand. i was dunked the entire fourth round. good to see all again at the hilton.
Well Done! Although it may not be in the money for this particular tournament, I would consider a 4th round placement to be notable! It would mean a final table at many other tournaments, so I say well done!
thanks gronbog; thanks. it is a little of a grind to get to the fourth round. at least i had decent, repectable and skilled players on my table, that did not make a scene during the round. so, that took the sting out of not advancing somewhat. the one gentleman that advanced to the semis from my table, ended up in the finals and lost first place by fifty dollars. he did not notice the winners' two green twenty-five dollar chips (surrendered a $100 bet) on the last couple of hands. ouch, a $38,000 error!!!
Confused Marichal, please explain the final hand betting position of the 1st and 2nd place winners. I tucked my tail, left and didn't see the final table. It seems if 2nd place lost by $50 and bet last without noticing the two $25 chips, he made a bet to tie for the high/low. If the 1st place winner bet last, he made a great bet to take the high by $50 and also retain the low over the 2nd place winner by $50. If the 2nd place winner bet last he should have placed an additional $100 minimum bet no matter if he saw the two $25 green chips or not.
don't know hey rook; wish i could answer your question. i only talked to the gentleman just before the mulligan drawing on the casino floor after the tourney. that is all he told me that he did not notice the 2 green chips during his betting an lost by the 50 bucks. he was not too unhappy ( i guess 12k will do that for you), with the outcome.
