Would love to try my hand at a vegas Tourny, have played on a cruise ship and won that, play regualr BJ at Mandalay and are ahead of the game there. The next logical progression is to try hand at Vegas tournys, entry fee is not an issue. Does anyone have any suggestions where to start. I will be in town in june altho not fee during the day only evenings. Prefer casinos with good air (smoke) extraction....lol
Only two open events The Rio is having a VIP event 10-13 if you want to come watch, that is the only big one going on then that I know about. The two smaller events that you can play in are the Fiesta (Henderson) (6:00 PM) on Thursday (9th) and Boulder Station (11:30 AM) on Saturday (11th). I believe both tournaments cost $25 to enter. Good luck.
additional question can you register the day of tourny or do you need to do that in advance, if a tourny starts at 11:30am what time would you expect it to finish? I migh tmake the one on the saturday i have that day free with nothing planned except for a dinner in evening appreciated the answer to my original question
Over early It should be over well before the evening time. If you have any free time come by the Rio and say hi, I'll be playing in that tournament June 10th - 12th or Stardust 13th - 15th. Rick

Boulder Station Info You can find an overview of the Boulder Station tournament in the Members Area of this site. Quickest way to get there is via the link at the top-right corner of each page. Then choose List of Casinos, then Nevada, scroll down to Boulder Station, then click the View link in the next-to-last column and finally Weekly Blackjack Tournament. Registration begins at 10:00am but if you want a seat in the first session, you should be there by 9:30 as there is a large list of regulars who have a reservation. There are no-smoking tables; you draw your table assignment from containers marked for smoking or no smoking. Good Luck, --jr
Pioneer in Laughlin is having a tournament this weekend (it actually is just saturday) $220 entry, 11k grand prize, they are basing the prize pool on 125 entrants.
Pioneer-Laughlin As of this morning (one day before the tournament) they only had 30 players registered. Not good sign.
