    Hey Gang,

Bear again.... I forgot to remind everyone of our Victory Point Tournaments taking place every Wednesday Night at 8:30pm EST.

It only costs 30 VP POINTS to play, and you can win some easy cash!

Also, our Cashier is featuring NEW MERCHANTS! Be sure and check out your options.

Anywho, if you're looking for a good game tonight... or any other night for that matter, hop on over to Blackjack 21.

    Cheers,

    Bear

    Fees

    Yikes!

I've yet to make a withdrawal of any kind. I just checked out the new cashier page (the instructions used to simply say you should send an email when you wish to request a withdrawal) - Every withdrawal method seems to have a substantial fee associated with it. This comes as a bit of a shock, to put it mildly.

    do i give up

Have tried many times to get blackjack21 working,
Thought I would give it one more try today,
Went to the site got loads of security expired notices, and Warnings from Mcafee saying site may have been phished, Ignored all these and put in an overide,
Logged in eventually as seems like part of the front end of the site has vanished, Then tried the download software version, Once opened this gave me a blue screen and nothing else, Then tried the play now flash version, this loaded but none of the buttons are visable, so have no idea what anything is for, no cashier etc, Tried insstalling latest flash, still the same on both counts.
Then tried alll the above again on my laptop and got exactly the same result, 2 and half hours on i have got no where, Is it me or is this site a waste of time? I know they are part of www.21gnet.com network so am i better of joining one of the other partners like bookmaker , or all they all the same and are the games on each of 21gnets partners linked so you are playing sae game on any of the partner sites or independent of each other?

The site seems to have a few quirks, but I've had no real problems getting it working.

    Regarding scurity, -

Their certificate expired a while ago. It seems they then obtained a new one from a different provider; I still get a warning, but now it says that the certificate is issued by a party I haven't chosen to trust - (Which turns out to be 'Go Daddy Secure Certification Authority'). I suppose what you are supposed to do in these circumstances is spend a little time checking that the issuer is a reputable company, before installing the certificate. So far, I've just been clicking on 'Yes' (I want to proceed) each time. At some point I'll no doubt get bored with this and install the certificate, probably without bothering to discover anything about 'Go Daddy'.

Another new warning that has appeared is that the page contains both secure and non-secure items (after logging in). That's probably what the 'may have been phished' comment relates to. They should use https for the whole page, not just elements of it.

Very occasionally, the site loads in an odd state, as if I've caught it in the middle of an update, or a reboot, or something. A refresh usually sorts it out.

N.B. After logging in, the cashier is accesed from the menu on the web page, not from the game itself.

I use the 'Play Now' Flash version. A while ago, I tried the download option for comparison. It turned out to be identical. It still uses Flash. It seems to be a tiny exe with an embedded Flash Player, in place of a full web browser. Recently, I noticed that it started just giving a blank screen, as you mention. I just went back to using the 'Play Now' version.

I hadn't really investigated the other members of the 21gnet network. I've built up a certain amount of brand loyalty towards blackjack21.com at this stage, and the bonuses I've received will cover the withdrawal fees, which I've only just discovered exist, for a considerable time. Still, if others offer the same service and don't make this charge then that seems like a good reason to prefer them. (I looked at a few, and charging did seem to be the norm, but at least one offered one free withdrawal per month.)

I use Neteller, and so far every online casino and tournament site I've registered with has offered free withdrawals. That's why I was so shocked by this. Have I just been lucky with my choices so far? Are withdrawal fees common?

I signed up for this VP game and they took 30 VP from my account but when it came time to play I could not log on to the site...I had no issues with surfing any other site but when I contacted the CS dept they told me they had no issues and refused to refund my VP's...lol

Some free roll....I wonder what they would do with a real money issue?

This was not meant to be a rhetorical question.

At any rate, it seems like this may not be an issue at blackjack21, after all. As part of the general confusing nature of the site, you bring up a different page if you click on the cashier while not logged in, compared to when logged in. This gives a crucial extra piece of information about the costs of Neteller withdrawals -

Looks like Friday is pay-day. :)

The saga of the fees continues

    Fred,

Have you made any withdrawals yet? (And did you manage to avoid being charged a fee?)

I was about to try today, but decided to double-check the precise terms via Live Chat first. Lucky I did. It turns out that the request has to be made before noon EST, in order to be free.

It would have cost me $30 if I hadn't been sufficiently paranoid to wonder if the phrase - 1 FREE on Fridays up to $2,500 per week - might still somehow leave room for interpretation.

    Victory is Mine

It had to happen sooner or later, I suppose. I finally won one of these freerolls. (Probably no coincidence that, on this occasion, there were no other BJTers present. ;) )

Leaving aside the politics, I'm not sure whether I'm just not very good at EBJ, or the quality of the opposition is simply poorer at the sites where I can still play the traditional format (a lttle of both, most likely). At any rate, my results have certainly been very different. I've lost nearly all of my initial deposit at UltimateBet, but (touch wood) have been making healthy profits elsewhere.

Darn I keep forgetting about the Wednesday night at Blackjack21.com.

Congratualtions Colin I've played against you enough to know you are a terrific player - one to be feared! :1st:

    Thanks Fred

    My ego is suitably boosted.:D

Or at least it was until a few moments ago, when you witnessed me screw up my last bet and turn what could have been another 1st place into a 2nd! :(

Still, it was good to bump into you at the tables again.

20s is a short timer to begin with, but when the table is full it's a nightmare. Probably better to folllow the KISS maxim and bet the max when in doubt.

I wish they'd increase the timeout for the final round. That way, the games themselves couldn't last much longer, but there'd be time to think when it comes to the crunch.

[And, I should add, you were unlucky to finish out of the money. You probably don't really want to hear me whine too much about finishing 2nd, in the circumstances. :)]

I LOVED seeing your max bet BJ - :flame:

It was good but I was half-way falling asleep.

I agree with you - on the final hands you should have DOUBLE the time for making bets.

    Congratulations Londin
