Thank you for the video poker site. BUT. After playing it for several seconds I am very concerned with the RNG of the application. Is this a program from UBT?

Thanks for the fun video poker link. I also like playing this game for a change. I think this one may be biased to the player’s side I’m up to 500 units in 15 mins. with no big wins. Or I’m just on a positive flux :D . Peace, Harpo

Thanks pergo for the vp site. I am also way ahead turning 75 into 4500 in a few hours. Maybe I'm finally getting lucky.

    Here's the real deal

That site is... well..... cute......... but for the real deal:

    videopoker.com

You'll have to "sign up" - which is no big deal at all.
There's an absolutely massive selection of VP-based games to play.

    Video Poker

I have found the methods of John Patrick quite helpful. Beside the various approaches to play; they also provide information on what the machine will NOT do. First encounter-no 2 small pairs. One day later(different casino) no trips, which also eliminates full houses. Nastyest- no repeat wins, not even back to back pushes. It also may show you where the machine will "run."

BlackCloud, John Patrick's methods are just about always flawed. He is not a reputable source. For reputable sources on Video Poker use Jean Scott and Bob Dancer, among others.

Excellent advice, toonces. Dancer and Scott won't lead you astray. Anyone who tries to sell you a system for VP based on money management or tracking past results is simply lying to you. Each game has a maximum return, which can only be realized with perfect strategic play.

Video poker machines are seeded with a random number generator (actually, a pseudo RNG) and it makes no difference what happened in the previous hand. You could conceivably get back-to-back Royal Flushes because the RNG doesn't care. It "spins" at about 50,000 selections per second, and your first five cards are selected based on the millisecond in which you hit the DEAL button. So, if a machine is hot or cold - it's not the machine, it's you! :p

    Anything Can Happen

I hit a natural on a 9/6 JoB machine at the Aladdin last year, so early in the session I was still in my promotion points. It can happen to anyone. Anyone else here ever hit a natural?

Just learn the basic strategy. I bought Jean Scott's FVP program and practice with it all the time, usually between UBT rounds.

Of course all the basic strategy skill in the world doesn't matter when you hit a natural!! :D

Hey! that’s great Monkey, I haven’t been fortunate enough to hit a natural. The best I’ve done is hit Four Duces playing Duces Wild. At Seneca Niagra in NY. :D

I was lucky enough to hit 1 on sat. at the Gold Strike and 1 the next day at the Horseshoe last time we were in Tunica. Unfortunately both were on quarter machines.
