Congrats to Ken on the tremendous run BTW at Global!!!! Is there any strategy you use for these sorts of qualifications, or do you consistently bet low and see where luck takes you??? I say that as I noticed the $1 bet on your 4-4-4-4-4 screen. Thanks. I deposited $50 on two occasions with $5 bets and zeroed out wit basic staregy both times....they reshuffle each hand right?
Bet a little, or a lot Actually, Simms, no, they don't shuffle every hand. When I played yesterday, I got 152 cards before the shuffle in the shoe I tracked. You can tell when they shuffle because there are no cards in the discard rack. I did have an outstanding run this week during qualifying. I bet $1 sometimes, and as much as $150 at other times (3 hands of $50). You can bet up to 5 hands at $55 each. I had some good luck coming there, because I've done really poorly at some of those GameMaster qualifying attempts. I've spent $500 before and failed to get a semifinal seat. It's a beguiling format, and it's easy to dig a big hole.
Wished Simmsrus would have posted earlier. Simms, I was in 7th place on Global GMO last night. After seeing Kens score I thought I would give it another go tonight. You guessed it, Increased bets and zeroed out. Thought Ken must be betting big all the time, then saw his screen print and reply to your question. Would have left it how it was if I had known and not experimented. Anyway you get nothing for 7th place(Apart from keeping my money)
Shuffling after each hand..... REALLY??!?? I did not know that. Is that a standard way to tell at most online casinos. I have been playing alot of blackjack switch lately at playtech casinos (after my experience with SkyKings) and have always noticed the discard area has cards in it. But when I have called some of the casinos they almost immediately say they are shuffled after each hand so I just assumed all of them did. Do you know of any one deck games without the reshuffle......also...Ken....you had mentioned on the SKyKings tread that some casinos allow you to keep your bonus after withdrawing so you can continue playing with that. I found one - Mapau Casino recenlty and it worked great. Just wondering if there were any other casinos you may have noticed that followed that same format. You drop your risk big time as you can keep with drawing your profits and risk only your bonus.
Not many There are very few online casinos that deal more than one hand between shuffles. Global Player is one. The others are the Cryptologic casinos. In any of those casinos (Sands, Omni, Intercasino, VIP, etc.), they deal 2 decks out of 8, but ONLY in the multi-player game. In single player, they shuffle all 8 decks every hand. As for the sticky but persistent bonuses, I don't recall where I've seen them. I think the Casino Las Vegas, Swiss Casino, etc group does that. And, if Mapau does, then Casino Fortune, Goldgate, and Miami Beach will as well, since they're all owned by the same company. Global Player Online Hey Ken, Steve from Chicago here. Quick question. You don't think that online blackjack is rigged at all? I mean why wouldnt they. Is it truely random as online poker would be? Steve
While there are certainly rigged online casinos out there, I believe the major brands of software deal a fair game. I've played a lot online, and my results have been reasonable.
rigged online blackjack? Is there any way to determine if a casino's software is cheating? I suppose you will need a concrete suspect, as e. g. "there are more 5s in the deck than As", or "if the dealer would bust, he drops the bust card under the table and takes another one". I have some logfiles here of really big losses in a game with - under normal circumstances - a player advantage. The first problem will be to convert them from HTML to someting useable... However, I did not do it so far as I have no clue on how to analyse. My math is not good enough for those tests with greek letters in their names. Hints, anybody?
Online Casino blacklist The wizard of odds maintains a list of blacklisted online casinos on his website. I think I have seen other blacklists too on other sites. The first one on this link is for problems with blackjack. http://www.wizardofodds.com/casinos/blacklist.html
