First of all, I'd like to say that I put this in this forum because this is where this kind of garbage BELONGS, not in announcements, not in the BJ discussion, here, in the general forum.... I'd also like to warn you now that this thread contains some coarse language... Alright. What the FUCK has gotten into everyone here? This board used to be THE place to go for tournament info and a wide variety of other subjects and now it's turned into a god damn freak show. Back when I first signed up almost two years ago this was a place where we had some people with insane amounts of knowledge, and we learned from them, and then when we got better we taught the people below us and so on and so forth. Nowadays everyone is too busy trying to attack everyone else's characters to do anything constructive. Alot has happened in the world of blackjack since I first signed up here, we have a network television show, the popularity is booming, and we also have a new law outlawing a good number of the members here from making their money and putting into practice the skills they've learned. The government fucked us over and we've all turned on each other, feeling that either we don't need the information we were learning anymore or we're just all looking for someone to blame. So much to the point where we're starting to chase off our most educated members (SMART move, by the way...) and Ken himself is getting fed up with the bullshit. I would STRONGLY suggest that everyone here just take a step back and remember why we're all here, the blackjack community has always been tight knit because is HAS to be. We're in a game that if we get too smart we get thrown out or beat up, we need to protect each other and watch out for each other. Most of us will NEVER see a UBT final table, and for those who don't we need to find other ways to ply our craft, ways that don't involve getting the proverbial golden ticket, and trust me, that requires some VERY hard work, education, and cooperation. In any case I would suggest that everyone get their shit together before one of the greatest resources for information on blackjack around is gone, and we won't have anyone to blame but our fucking selves.
