Where to get started with online tournaments

I have never played a BJ tournament, but have seen a few on TV, etc. I am planning on playing in a tournament in March and would like to practice against others for free online. Is there any online casino that offers free tournaments? I want to teach myself since I am a stat major and I taught myself hold 'em and it has been very profitable for me. Also, can you specify the type of BJ you want to practice? The tourney I am preparing for has quirky rules like no doubling with an ace, only double with 9,10,11 and no multi splits.

cliffs: Want a free online tourney site that plays against other people and hopefully be able to specify BJ rules as well.

    Thanks in advance

Unfortunately, there's no such thing as a free place online to play tournaments. In fact, the only place offering true multi-player tournaments online is Global Player. You can play their sit-and-go events for as little as $16.

More online tournament venues are on the way though. Stay tuned.

Isn't Global having a BJ Freeroll tonight?

I replied in the other thread as well.
Maybe you're thinking of the Gamemaster Semifinals and Finals, which will be held on Friday. That's not a freeroll. The qualifiers from the leaderboard (plus one wild card) play a semifinal round. The winner then challenges the Gamemaster in a heads-up final, for the $3000 prize money. ($1000 each month, and it rolls over if the Gamemaster wins.)

As usual, here's the link: Global Player
