Winstar BJT.com results or should I say Whiff-star results.

All 10 members played well just not lucky enough to make it to the final table.

Round 1A: Dr. Bass, Themom82, and TXtourplayer advanced, knocked out were: Maxwell and John Leland.

Round 1B: Swog, Eastxpro, Matador, and Hopinglarry advanced, knocked out were: TLR (who caught HORRIBLE card the entire round).

Round 2: Dr. Bass, Themom82, Swog, Matador, Hopinglarry, and TXtourplayer advanced, knocked out: Eastxpro - another players last hand BJ killed him (OUCH) and Matador.

Round 3: Swog and Hopinglarry advanced, knocked out: Dr. Bass, Themom82, and TXtourplayer - leader and lost last 8 hands - (OUCH)!
*Note: Swog made a hell of a come back to get to BR3 to advance. BR1 and BR2 had the table covered on a possible 2 to 1 BJ and remember this was unlimited betting, (think they were catching some cards).

    Round 4: None!
Knocked out: Swog and Hopinglarry who pushed the last hand to drop to BR4 (OUCH)!

The finals were all unknown players (not regular tournament players that is). Same as last year the only woman at the table took down the top prize.
And what a way to win, after the first 5 hands she turned her $2,000 starting bankroll into $500. Over the final 13 hand's she turned that $500 into $8,500. That's a 17 times increase, should win most tournaments...lol. This was her lowest winning amount over the last three tables she played at. can you say "HOT"!

The tournament was well run, just the BJT.com members normally started off in the hole as the rabbits and slammer just had their way all day long.

I congradulate all the finalist and wish I could have been one of them, but wasn't meant to be. Hopefully Winstar will host the "Split" again next year and BJT.com members will have better results.

Latest word is it will be a combination of VIP invited players and open for a $1,000 entry fee (which would still be a positive EV for their BJ tournaments) if they host it again.

Thanks Winstar for giving us a chance to play for such high stakes, hopefully we'll be given another chance next year.

Awwwwww, crap. How disappointing. With 10%+ of the field being BJT.com folks, I figured we'd get at least one to the final table. Damn.

Congrats to all of our members who battled it out, especially Swog and Hopinglarry for making the semifinals!

I echo the hope that they host The Split again next year, with the asterisk that it'd be nice if they didn't make it such a terrible deal for some of us. While I understand their motivation and reasons, I sure missed going there this summer.

Second to the last hand I bet $600 with holding $600 more for a double down, no matter what, then If won would have something (bet wise) to use on the final hand. I got a hard 13, doubled down caught a 2, dealer had a 3 up and she made 20..... If I would of won my last hand bet, I would of come in 3rd on the table. Of course the event winer, Mrs. Melendez(sp?) was at my table just smoking all the boys, LOL Talk about luck!

Nice talking with some of the board guys. The nearest casino to me is in western NY 2.5 hrs one way and they don't do any tournaments worth crap, but I'll hit it soon for some table play.

Congrats still are in order for the members here who competed in the final event. Sorry we didn't see a final table among you, but getting the shot was still an accomplishment.
