This years Split tournament is really designed for the locals. They sent out 3,000 free seat invitations this week and only offering 36 "Hot Seats". The Hot Seats will be offered once a week and at no set times. This year no buy-in's will be offered and Hot Seat winners will not be allowed to transfer their seats.
Side note I was informed that the TD for the past two years (Dan) is no longer at Winstar. I couldn't get any information on where he's at now. Dan was the first TD I ever met that came to dinner with us (1st Split) to explain the rules the night before one of the qualifiers.

And I'm not sure if I'm reading it right, but it seems that there are 3 qualifying tournaments and 96 entrants each tournament, with 36 of these being hot seat drawings. That's not as bad a chance as I first thought. Too bad I can't make the finals because of a prior engagement. Someone in the know should at least post the tournament as an event.
