The Ute Mountain and the Ho-Chunk events are both over 100% equity.
I overlooked these in the calendar: The Cherokee Casino in Catoosa OK has several qualifiers listed. There are weekly events on Fridays and Sundays, plus a single event listed on Monday December 26th.
Oklahoma WSOB III Here is the best info I have found about the Oklahoma qualifiers for the WSOB III. Scroll down about seven items on the right side until you find the WSOB III logo, then just click on the location you are interested in - Tulsa, Roland, or Catoosa. *NOTE: Tulsa is the only one with a hotel! Here is the web site: http://www.cherokeecasino.com/event_calendar/eventspage.aspx?location=0&event_type=1 The locations are about 4 1/2 to 5 hours from Dallas I am told. Aces & Faces to all, Rick
Goin' to Colorado I'm headed to the Ute Mountain qualifier on January 6 & 7. Airfares or schedules prevented me booking anything close to there, so I'm driving up from Albuquerque on the 5th. It's a 268 mile drive. If anyone else would like to share a rental car in Albuquerque, let me know. If you're looking for airfares that get you closer to the casino, check Farmington NM (FMN), Durango (DRO), Telluride (???), and Cortez (CEZ).
WSOB Qualifier in Colo Ken: Your rental better be a four wheel drive for that trip in Jan. Or maybe you could get a used "Bradley." In any case if you go thru with it pack the vehicle with all the recommened emergency gear.
Wsob Hey, Ken why you going to Colorado ? Tulsa is cheaper and closer and has 2 tournaments a week. I almost went up there this weekend. Are you going to try the Pearl River in your own state ?
Yep, the first week in January will be a crapshoot weatherwise. Heck, you will start at 5000 feet in elevation.
I refuse to participate in the Pearl River Resort offering. They're keeping almost half of the entry fees, while places like Ute Mountain and Ho-Chunk are offering overlays. As for Oklahoma, I haven't ruled that out yet. I need to see what I can work out for that one.
