So going by what Kevin B. said on Kenny's radio show the breakdown on players for the 2006 WSOB went like this.

    22 - won their seats.

2 - will be won by the AOL playoff this Monday.

4 - were given to the LV Hilton (Host casino).

12 - were selected by GSN and the production company.

I am not sure but I think the selections were 7 women and 5 guys, don't hold me to that.

I am not sure when the players will be post publicly.

Thanks for the post! I was having computer problems and missed 90% of the show tonight.

    Who is in?

Since I couldn't be in Vegas for the taping, surely SOMEONE out there is...can you say who all is in the WSOB YET?

    Yes and No!

Yes they have players out there now who know who all the selected players are, but GSN wants to keep the names under wraps still.

Even though everyone would like to know who they are, we need to respect the selected players privacy and GSN wishes.

I am sure that if any of you were selected you wouldn't want to risk forfeiting your seat just to let others know who was selected for the show.

We will find out soon enough who the players are and with any luck the shows may start airing as early as June 2006.

  7. Stupidity

Who gives a rats ass about keeping the participants names a secret? Who are these people? Candidates for a witness protection program? Anybody who gets the chump change to watch the show tapings doesn't have to sign any stinking contract. Any of those people, or anyone that those people who are not contractually obligated to be silent tell, should have no reason to have their freedom of speech that our great country allows restricted.

    Bradley

I was only talking about protecting the selected players. those who have had to sign contracts.

I don't want to see any of them having to forfeit their winnings over something like disclosing the players names.

Like I said the names will get out and probally just the way you discribe, with someone going to the taping and then posting on one of the site.

At least that way the players are protected.

I understand. I was just trying to point out how studip I think that imposing the gag order on the players is given what we both believe will take place via the masses anyway.

    Protecting their interest

I understand where you are coming from Bradley, but I can also see where GSN is coming from.

The regular tournament players will most likely hear rumors about the out come long before the show is aired, but I am sure GSN doesn't want that info posted on any web sites until after the shows have aired.

They don't want players not tuning in because they already know the out come.

Hell, I'm in Texas and I've already heard runors on who won the "King of Vegas" and never left the state.

Hmmm...Head mostly north and just a little east but don't go across any USA boarders.

    GSN-WSOB For 2006

Is it better, to have videoed and lost? Or, to have never videoed at all?

    Ebony Princess' post Feb 5th, 2006 says it(now here's a word) BEST.
