Hello all, With Christmas almost upon us and the year 2006 quickly winding down I began to reflect upon this past year here at BJT.com. As a new member to this site and still a novice to the world of TBJ I thought to myself, boy what a difference a few months makes. Why only yesterday it seems like I played in my first live tourney – now I play online (way too much according to the Mrs.) In my opinion, this site has been invaluable to my growth and understanding of TBJ. What started me thinking about this was Archie’s post asking for clarification about a post from the guru of TBJ, Ken Smith. He asked from help from the regular contributors and I was shocked to see my name among the likes of Joep, Reachy and Ken! Imagine that - yes it IS a scary thought! That got to thinking about different unanswered questions right here on TBJ.com. Questions that have been brought to life but no real concrete answers forwarded or postulated. Since we are quickly the final days of 2006 let us reflect upon what has transpired these past months and weeks. Yes there was the good (Ken Smith’s inaugural UBT win and that monster progressive jackpot), the bad (passage of the online gaming bill) and the ugly (a tiff between “friends?”). But what does it all mean? Where will TBJ.com go from here? Will this continue to develop and evolve into the best online BJT site? Will the “pros” return and continue to teach and impart their wisdom for us newbie’s? Will “online” TBJ continue to grow or will it wither and die a slow death? Will the calendar of events fill up with newer and bigger events? These are important and serious questions that we must reflect upon and ask ourselves, am I part of the solution? And yet there is another side of BJT.com that was brought to my attention lately by someone whom I have never met yet I consider a “friend”. A person who I feel like I have learned so much about, yet never actually physically encountered nor spoken in person. A person who I have learned to respect, to ask difficult questions and ask advice from occasionally. Based upon the feedback from this person I began to ask not only the above “serious” questions but to reflect upon other questions that have been raised here on BJT.com that has gone unanswered. While not as serious as the above they nevertheless have inquiring minds wondering. Questions from prior threads such as: 1. Nevertheless as agent Mulder once said……The Truth is Out There.
