Talking with the tournament staff at the March tourney here in Yuma, I was told that the February tourney set an all time attendance record....168 players. This contrasts with a low of less than 40 players in some of their summer tournaments, the reason they discontinued the tournaments for a few months last summer. The reason for the extreme variability? - the 100,000+ snowbirds that descend on Yuma every winter.
