$175,000 Blackjack Tournament - Horseshoe Council Bluffs

No rooms included with enry fee. Entry fee, as well as 
rooms, can be partial or fully comped depending on your 
record of play. They look at your record of play at all 
Harrah's Properties not just Council Bluffs in determining 
comp entries. The purpose of this tournament seems to be 
to build up their custome base and not intended 
exclusively as a reward for their higher rollers.

Tournament is limited to 300 players. If they reach that 
goal then the EV becomes $583. The tournament is subject 
to cancellation if fewer than 60 participants.

Must sign up over the phone to reserve a seat prior to the 
beginning of registration on July 25.

Schedule of events:
Welcome Reception on Friday, July 25 7:00pm - 8:30pm.
Registeration and playing time assignment at the Horseshoe 
Total Rewards Center. Starts on Friday, July 25 at 6:00am 
and runs through Saturday, July 26 until 9:30am. 
Tournament play at Whisky Roadhouse at Horseshoe.
Round 1 starts on Saturday, July 26, 10:00am (5 sessions, 
1 each hour)
Round 2 starts on Saturday, July 26, 3:00pm (5 sessions, 
1 each hour)
Semi-Finals on Sunday July 27 at 11:00am
Final Table on Sunday July 27 at 12:00pm
It's possible that a Wild Card will be drawn for entry 
into the final table.
 
21 hands per round. First 2 rounds are accumulation. 
Scores from these 2 rounds are added together with top 36 
players advancing to the semi-finals.  Table winners in 
the semi-finals advance to finals. Rules are virtually 
identical to the Horseshoe-Tunica recent events and the 
Harrah's-Tunica event in June, 2008. 

At the 18th hand of round 2 each player will have the
option to pay $500 to buy $2500 of tournament chips.

As a side note, and completely unrelated to the BJT, they 
are also giving away $50,000 (5  $10,000 cash prizes) on 
Sunday July 27 at 2:00pm at the Whisky Roadhouse. Number 
of entries per person for this drawing is dependent on 
your play over that weekend. But you must be registered 
for this event. You can do this when you sign up for the 
tournament through a casino host.

2nd through 36th place winners share $75,000.

Prize pool of $175,00 is based on a minimum of 180 players 
and is subject to change.
