Match play coupons are no longer given. There are no slot machines at this casino. Registration starts at 5 p.m., and 1st rounds begin at 6. Anytime during the 1st 20 minutes you can buy an additional $1,000 in chips for $50. Fifty-Five dollar re-buys are allowed for 1st round sessions 2 and 3. A Second Chance Round for an additional $55 is played after the 1st rounds. No re-buys are allowed during or after the Second Chance round. The difference between the purchase of $1000 additional chips for $50 and the $55 re-buys is that with the $55 re-buys you sign up to play in the next round, not the current round that you started in. The $50 re-buy allows you to remain in your current round. Whenever possible all rules are the same as in live games of the "New" 21st Century Blackjack. Players bank this game with tournament chips. The cards for the player acting as the banker are dealt to the dealer. There are minimum bet and bank amounts which double at set intervals. All in bets are allowed. A casino dealer deals from an eight deck shoe and makes payments and collects winnings for the bank. The bank starts at seat one and rotates clockwise each hand. Seat one always receives the first card unless acting as banker. You can not refuse when it is your turn to bank. Players with chip counts less than minimum bet and bank requirements must go all in. The amount banked limits the total amount that can be won or lost each hand. The dealer's hole card is used to determine where the Action starts. The starting position of the Action is the start of where winning bets are paid and losing bets are collected for the bank. The two top chip leaders from each table for each round advance directly to the final round. You only have to beat the players at your table. Usually 18 or 20 players start the final round, but only 8 persons finish in the money. This tournament is held on the 1st and 3rd Thursdays. The casino has published a schedule through Dec. 20, 2007.
Prizes:
1st place receives 40% of the prize pool. Additional 1st rounds are added if enough sign ups. The prize pool increases as more sign ups are sold. The casino adds $5000 to the prize pool regardless of registration money collected. First place usually pays in the $4000 range. On May 17, 2007 the payouts were: 1st $4525 2nd $2260 3rd $1130 4th $905 5th $790 6th $680 7th $565 8th $450 Three percent of the prize pool is deducted for service charge.
