Just for fun, except when otherwise (per newsletter) specified, and except mondays-wednesdays-fridays from february 20th... I'm constantly in search of sponsors to launch prized, one-shot tournaments. Next one would be on 31st of january (confirmation pending), prizes would consist in Monte Carlo-made perfume for this one, for example...
Very cool, KungFox! I do appreciate your programming skills and proactive approach to get BJ tourneys available to people! Very commendable The next tourney starts in about 1 hour; is that correct?
Hmm I tried joining but got this in red: Ne pas rafraîchir, ni quitter la page ou verrouiller son téléphone sous peine d'être déclaré forfait !
Yes, you're sitting a the same table as Gronbog and I ! If you want to retry / restart, click the "back" button of your browser, refresh, then click on the red "abandon", and re-join again !
Aaagh ! Who let the cat in ? ^^ Gronbog, I just "freed" you from the table, you can enter the other one starting at the same time (3/01 EST) ... Sorry !
Ah! Had no idea.... did not see any other players or anything. It should show the other players at the table or at least let us know how long we need to wait before the tourney starts??? Will try again later.
Sorry for that ! It was too late to translate the 6-pages long user notice from ENG to FRE...^^ Welcome back any time !
So, I played on the site today. Once head to head vs KungFox and again at a table of 9 players an hour later. I think KungFox felt sorry for the way the dealer kicked my butt the first time because I managed to win the table the second time by doubling on a hard 17 for 21 with a max bet out on the second last hand KungFox has been honest with us when he said that the user interface is very basic. However, there is a chat window there and I had fun playing. I would recommend it for those of you who are not able to make it to live events these days, or don't feel safe in doing so. I ran into someone that I know from the blackjack community there today and there may perhaps be others registered on the site. It certainly would be fun to play against some of the regulars from here. I plan on playing again on Sunday at 11am and noon EST when the next events are scheduled.
Thank you, Gronbog, for this kind feedback ! Winning against a cash-game BJ pro AND a player from Luxemburg who made it to the quarter finals at the World Cup in Austria last year AND against me was an achievement in itself ! Looking forward to recognizing more north american nicknames there ! Nice weekend and a successful new season to all !
I could tell that there were some sharp players there and, as you can see by what I was ultimately forced to do, there was more than a bit of luck involved! Of course beating you was my ultimate goal One suggestion for the interface. When a player surrenders, his cards remain in place and it looks like it just shows his original bet reduced by 50%. If you forgot what was originally bet, you might end up thinking that this player had simply stood on his hand. Might I suggest that it shows minus 50% of his original bet and either removes the cards or indicates surrender in some other manner. By the way, for those still on the fence about registering there, I have an endorsement of KungFox and his site from someone in the blackjack community that I trust.
I have known Kung Fox since 2013 and all I can say is that he is someone who did his utmost to revive the BJ tournaments in belgium and succeded in doing so. I am convinced that his site will go from strengh to strengh and even if basic for now will get better and better. Am one of the regular from his regular tournaments and will be there tomorrow.
Was it something I said? I logged in about an hour ahead of time and registered myself at the first table. I came back about 20 minutes before start time to find that 7 other players had registered, all at the second table. No other players joined my table in the remaining 20 minutes. I won the table.
