Many thanks for your comments. They are in the dev mill and will form part of our redevelopment strategy.

Hi! There was some error in this evenings 50$ freeroll. I was playing in QF against player which was obviously on autoplay.
In two hands in two consecutive games, cards have gone wild...After me and my opponent have received cards, we both went to bust, although I didnt press any button, I didnt have chance for it.
I have lost that 2 games because of it.
Some kind of bug, i guess, you should check that. Feel free to contact me for more details.

And just one idea, wouldnt it be good if I can play and see the lobby at the same time....For example, I am waiting at some table for more players, but maybe someone is also waiting at other table, and I cant see that.

    Thanks

To add to markozg's good feedback, it would be nice to be able to tell when a player isn't there (absent).
I've had a couple of 'em who flat-bet the minimum all the way through even when that made no sense.
Perhaps have a forfeit if a match gets to the end of the first game and one player hasn't shown up yet?

Leftnut: How is it, do you think, you can register and deposit money to Blackjack.com and not to clububt?

With so much still up in the air, in spite of the occassional congressional hearings, which address poker and sports betting and horse racing and lotteries, but not BJ and the blackjack.com issues to resolve, isn't that, playing there, a bigger risk than necessary?

While the current law addresses the financial institutions primarily, with stated penalties, I dread a similar repercussion as exhibited by the music industry towards the "free" music downloads. Striking fear in the little guy with huge fines and or jail time is a large deterent.

That being said, I continue to flaunt the law and take my chances with occassional forays into the "regular" UBT, primarily cause that was the original site for EBJ, after it was established as a poker site.

My experience has been UBT has continued unabated, with fewer players, but the other shoe could drop at any time. My misguided safety net is: If they come after me, I'm taking down my financial institution, which hasn't noticed or cared about any transactions. And I feel no remorse about taking them down, cause, other than ignoring these illegal transactions they've never done me any favors. Perhaps, I'll even get a reward for turning them in, in which case I could recoup all my losses in one fell swoop. For now that's my half baked "master plan."

    Noman, all very good points!

However, as for Blackjack.com, I have deposited no money, nor attempted to cash out any money.
So I don't think I've done anything more than play a game on a website. And that's MY half-baked master plan!

    Half a Plan.....

Is better than none. I was mainly curious as to how you were depositing, of course that'd be your bidness, and now it's a moot point.

As I said, I'm out there for anyone to turn me in for the reward. Let's make it a test case shall we? With counter claims and counter suits and run it right up to the Supreme Court.(I'm muddled though as to whether that would be US or World.)

I liked Swog's comment many moons ago. Re illegality: "What? People treat it like a speeding ticket?"

Juxtapose Ken Smith's decision to pull advertising and promotion.

I don't have that much to lose. So as they say..."Freedom is just another word for nothing left to lose."

Your comments are noted - many thanks. I also noticed some synchronisation issues and passed them on to the developers. We have had a plan to separate the tables and lobby for some time, also allowing multi-tabling, and I hope we will see that emerge from the dev team soon.

It is not an offence for an individual to play online. The recent act (UIGEA) made it an offence to send money to an illegal gambling operation, but did not in fact clarify what an illegal gambling operation is.

There are precedents in the US (Mastercard case) where the courts found that the wire act did not cover casino gaming. Many processors and operators have pulled out of doing business with US players because of the intimidation brought by the DOJ against some operators (all under pre-UIGEA law).

At Blackjack.com you are welcome to deposit - even if you are in the USA.

Maybe I should give it a try

The fact that blackjack.com is posting here is certainly a plus point, but I've been rather put off by the web site, which hasn't been updated in all the time I've been monitoring it. Clicking on 'Tournaments' continues to result in 'This page under construction. Come back soon', which doesn't inspire much confidence.

London. Up and running. But tournament games right now are only daily at varying times. Sit and goes and heads ups and something else need the players to start, so you could sit and wait a while.

Be aware to study the "game" and whether it's "blind" bet or open. Played a free roll tournament, which amounted to being heads-up matches, step-ladder and was confused the whole way, cause I didn't realize it was "blind" bet. Which means, your opponent doesn't know what you bet and vice-versa. Chip totals are displayed at end of hand, but not for long.

Not sure yet, how I feel about site or structure and organization of the games.

    Thanks for the advice, Noman.

I realised from what's been posted here that the site was up and running, but if they neglect to update their own web pages then that puts doubts in my mind about how well-run an operation it is.

Still, certain well-known sites have presented a very slick image, and yet no one could accuse them of being well run. Probably shouldn't judge the proverbial book by its cover. :)

HA! Finally gotcha just one time! :D
Yes, they had their problems today. I've played a number of their freerolls and this is the first time that's happened. Today's game never finished, still waiting on a resolution to the situation. They've got some bugs to work out and they're working on it.

Yes, too bad it got stucked, that game against you was mine for sure :D

(And it is not first time this to happen, happened few months before, when they just opened. That time tournament money was shared equal between all participants)

I think that the main reason for this is the fact that game opens from server, not from customers PC. Flash is often causing troubles.
Downloadable program would solve many problems, IMO

Uh huh, I hear ya. Zweeky thought the same thing when he won the first game in our best-of-3 match. too.
In their defense, their live support person was online with me for a half hour as I tried to help them with specifics of exactly what had gone wrong. They jumped right in and tried to fix things ASAP but it wouldn't happen.
Everyone needs to remember that the main reason they're running those freerolls is to beta-test the site operation.
Glitches like yesterday's site freeze-up are exactly what they want to find before going "live" for real.

    Update

I just checked and they have added (I think) a bit over 6 bucks to my account.
They also removed the results of ALL completed tournaments, so we can't see how things were settled! :flame:

I would like to try their $1 matchplay just to see what it is but it takes another volunteer... If someone else wants to try please join at 7:45 PM EST (today or tomorrrow) or suggest another time that suits you.

Zweeky, I'd be glad to join you, as I am curious as well. However, with my current schedule, I never know what time I'll be home in the early evenings. PM me.

Thanks for all the feedback (good and bad) - we do monitor this board and take your comments seriously. If you have any ideas for tournament structures then please post and I will see what I can do (let's leave the $10,000 freeroll out for now plse :) ).
