Dice information Noman, I think we can safely assume from your posts with toolman1 that you won’t be paying $1400 to enrol on any forthcoming dice control workshops  If anyone on here is interested in dice manipulation you can listen to the views of the leading exponents of this on the “Be in Action” radio show archive. Frank Scoblete & Dominator Dice Control 05/04/06 at www.lasvegasadvisor.com Andy Ps Noman crack open a few beers, have a listen and see if the guys can win you over. Droogie
Hey Noman, You don't have any strong feelings about dice manipulation do you? With regards to your dimple on a bowling alley - come play down here and I'll show you dimples in alley's I have never seen such deplorable lanes as in this alley (bowling that is) PS What the heck is you avatar? I STILL can figure it out? Is it a beaver with a stick in its mouth? Hey this is the free for all section right?
Dee Dee Didey. Dice Almighty....... ...Who in the Heck are we? Zip-Zam....We must be from Siam. Droogie: Not to worry. Always a beer in hand with one at the ready. But, I'll remain obstinate and not listen to "THAT" I'll watch the grass grow instead. fgk4: understand dimpled lanes, especially from the "shot put" stylists. The drop early releasers make the approach a mine field. Yet regardless, other than the Peterson, most houses can be adapted to. AVATAR: "I AM A ROCK. I AM AN ISLAND." And while many I know have "jumped" from a perfectly "good"(in some cases--NOTgood) airplane(there the optimal "play" was to jump rather than try to land with the plane.)......I have chosen not to take that "risk." And you two-too, TOOLMAN1 and REACHY: If dice manipulation be real...I'd rather use it playing "RISK." Less risk. ((And to get a little more skewed....depending on your experience level(I'll admit mine is limited.) More money is won at a dice table by the non-shooters than 99% of the shooters. That's the Toolman1 "Bet Smart" concept, discipline and odds knowledge. Just so happens to be the key ingredients in all gaming and particularly the game most associated with this site. Allow me one slight ramble. (okay more than one) The psychology of "players" Dice vs BJ is very distinct. Which leads to just one more bit of "advice." Stay with your strength rather than fall for a gimmick or lottery winner.
Takes too long The problem with Risk is that it takes too damn long to set up. When I play it with my kids I've lost them before we've even assembled our forces. Just for the record I have no interest in craps or roulette for that matter. I don't even think you can play craps in the UK but roulette you can. I only want to play games where skill can be used to win and there is a chance that I can develop that skill. Jury's out on my TBJ skills but you never know. One thing you said earlier would make an interesting experiment Noman, your laser-guided robot. If you could set up a dice throwing robot that could perform thousands/millions of exactly consistant throws you might be able to see whether dice control were theoretically at least possible. Whether a human could ever match that level of consistancy is another thing. And the avatar, surely NOMAN is an island! Cheers Reachy
Once more to the breach: Well, Reachy, Lest, I let the RED QUEEN run off with my head. Or it fills too much and floats off on its own, I feel compelled to temper some comments with NOTICE(on the record....here and NOW) of my prognostication abilities. I was one of the very first, if not THE FIRST, after hearing about four young lads from Liverpool, with an insect's name, who shook their moppy, froppy, long hair as they sang and played, to say: "THEY'LL NEVER MAKE IT!" Cheers back atcha and Good Fortune
Dang Noman I didn't know you were as OLD as the ROCK in your avatar! Did you know Edison too? P.S. Remember this is the everything goes section!
I'm confused Did you skydive or WHAT? Was that WWII over Europe or what? There is more risk in driving down the interstate that skydiving in the sport today.
fgk42 Didn't go on the cruise. Waiting for some BJ testing. Waiting for some Poker games to fill up..............So in the betwixt time... Alas and alack, I'm much older than that rock. I did coin the phrase:"Pleased to meet you. Hope you guessed my name!"
Trying for tootsie Tootsie. Sorry that a few alcohol sodden English and American members on here took over your thread regarding your enquires about the new edition of Casino Tournament Strategy. Riddled with guilt, I did write to the great man himself and the Wong camp gave me the following link for information. www.bj21.com/ads/cts1.html Ken. Not sure if you will allow this link because it may be construed as advertising. However, in fairness to them, they replied to my question and did not know that I would be sending it on to here. If I have messed up, please bust the post. Andy
Thanks for posting this Andy. I didn't even know that Wong had revised his book, and I went and checked my inventory. Surprise, I have mostly new 2006 editions with the handful of revisions. So, if you'd like to get a new edition, you can order it at BlackjackInfo: Casino Tournament Strategy by Stanford Wong I still have 4 copies of the older edition available, so pay attention: If you'd like the new edition, note that in your comment field while ordering. If you instead choose the old edition specifically, I'll include a free BlackjackTournaments.com cap with your order. Note this offer in the comment field while ordering please. Orders that don't post anything at all in the comment field will be filled with the old version until they're gone. (I've gotta get rid of 'em somehow!)
Ken I was going to suggest a blackjacktournaments.com hat and tshirts be offered to us. I would like have one. Do the revisions add much to the book? My Wong Strat book was poorly bound and has fallen appart. tia. Barney
No alcohol!! Actually I was and am completely sober. If you think that's bad you should see the stuff I spout when I've had a Stella or even better a pint of Absinthe. Can somebody stop those pink elephants from following me? Cheersh Reashy *hic*
I'm Guilty Reachy, Just to let you know that I was including myself as one of the alcohol debauched members. As for the American end, I can’t really say. However Noman did let it slip out in one of his previous post on here that he had a beer going in each hand. Cheersh Andy
Non Winner Milking Morons with New book Ferguson (wong) on dice is a 180 turn on position, caused by observation of those who can. Has he won ? NOPE ! Information, in said book, is second hand. Tourney book is also suspect; as he hasen't won a BJ tourney either, which he admits. I watched him on GSN sit in the middle and draw many BJs. That is not skill-pure dumb luck. Ferguson/wong is not a pro gambler; his proffession is stock-broker. The Cloud has read many of his books from the library- good info on what not to do for the Cloud.
Tourney book Hey Cloud. I take it from your post that you are not a fan of Stanford Wong. Spare a thought for our administrator Ken Smith who is trying to shift four old editions of his book. No chance now Ken  Andy
Droogie & Brew: Just to clarify. I said one in hand and one at the ready. That's because they're out of cans now. Though , I have been known to lightly sip from two bottles at the same time. Interesting when they're different brews....kind of like a youngster's "suicide" soda.
Cloud speak rarely but maybe much truth? I've said before bjt forum is very wise compared to CTS. Many people diss SW. Until Ken S publishes what else? Play to Win ? Maybe The Prince or The Art of War. Cheers Reachy
Book falls apart And I thought it may have been just my copy. Guess this is standard. Ken Smith: Do you know if the new books stay together or is this a trade mark of Wong's?
I think it's planned obsolescence! Very clever, eh? The new edition using the same glue binding process of the previous editions, so I figure you can estimate a shelf life of about 6 years or so!
