Beware electronic BJ at Cherokee While I'm thinking about it.... anyone going to Cherokee for the tournaments is advised to avoid their electronic BJ (on certain Game Master video poker machines). The pay table says it's 2:1 but that's video poker talk for what most of us BJ players would call 1:1. Cost me $20 to learn that lesson the hard way.
That's pretty much standard at all casinos. The pay schedule also says 2:1 for an ordinary win but that "2" includes the return of the "1" that you bet which was subtracted from your bankroll when you pressed the "deal" button. I too lost about $25 to learn the lesson the hard way.

We're going! Utvolfan and I are planning on getting there Friday the 25th and leaving Monday the 28th. Looking forward to seeing some of you again and meeting others!

Can't make it I, unfortunately, can't make it due to some prior obligations. But...I must echo Mr. Smith's statement that if you're on the fence, go! The last time Cherokee hosted tournaments, it was a great time. Eric Woods was a great host and went out of his way to make sure that things went well. For those that didn't make it last time, I highly recommend it and only see it being even more fun this time. For those that went last time, you already know what it's like and I'm sure most will return. I definitely hope to make it for the next one. Good luck to everyone who's going, I know you'll all have an awesome time.
