I vote for leaving out of George Strait's ocean front property. Maybe Tx can sign him up for a lounge act. --jr
Sounds like you got some anger issues there, buddy. Maybe if you were a better tournament player you wouldn't have to be so jealous of me all the time...
Most for the $ I have done a lot of cruises & find that Celebrity Cruise Lines offers more for the $ than any other line. Great ships with everything you can want for entertainment, exercise, great food, wonderful service, & good casinos.
Yep Sounds good I can probably work someting like this into my work schedule. Sounds really good, especially if it's not just a cruise to nowhere and back (as some of them are)
Keep the feedback coming I love the feedback and suggestions, it helps to run better tournaments. I looked at Carnaval, Royal, and Norwegian cruise lines, but I will checkout Celebrity now that you mentioned it. Thanks Springbac. Now joep and hollywood you two play nice or you'll have to stand in the corner for timeout...lol. I will keep everyone updated as we get closer to closing the deal. I still like June for departure, I don't think we will have any conflict at that time.
Seattle WA My vote is Seattle, WA or Vancouver BC, Canada (just across the border). Yeah, sure, I'm sure to be a minority, but...both are fabulous cities to visit in the spring/summer, and a summer cruise to Alaska is incredible! And for those looking for a little side action, did I mention the 100 casinos in Washington state? Actually, it will shortly be a handful more than 100 - I've got more casinos for my upcoming monthly update, Ken. And Hollywood Dave, if you were looking for a road trip to this cruise, just take the PCH/Hwy 101 all the way up to Washington on your way and I'll treat you to a buffet at my favorite casino...you know, to fortify you before all the friendly competition on the cruise. Satellites for the cruise tournaments I talked to Ken this mouning and told him I am in complete support of Globals online tournaments and offered to have Global host satellite tournaments for our upcoming cruise tournaments (once all the bugs are worked out). This is just another way of trying to keep the cost down for the players. Once Global is up and running hasle free we could probally host at least a tournament a week if not more.
What about October? After more research I have found that leaving out in October will make for the least expensive rates and we can leave from San Diego where "The Barona Casino" is willing to give us a farewell party the night before the cruise and supply all the dealers as well. Also leaving from Califorina will be easier sell to one of the production companies (trying to get the tournaments on TV). The cost can be up to $400 lower then one in June. Please give me your feedback for a October cruise?
Rock on As long as we head south toward Baja Mexico, should be warm enough on the open sea... and always a pleasure to have Max & GSN involved. Make it happen, boss! -holly d.
Too good to pass up October would be a tough month for me but I'll work it out somehow, expecially with what you've got cooking now. Count me in, too.
October it is! Feedback is for October departure out of California, we have a winner! I am going to have the dates finalized by next week and posted. The cruise will be round trip of the Mexican Riviera, a Sunday mouning departure for 8 days. Barona casino in San Diego is wanting to help sponsor the events and have offered to host a small tournament kicking off the weekend right. Note the tournaments will not be held in the casino area, we will have a ballroom where we can host the tournaments the way we want and quickly, no dragging out each tournament for 3-4 days. We are also working on sponsorship so we might be able to add money to the prize pool, (like Bally's in Tunica does). Plus add in possible TV coverage and no one can talk about negitive EV here! The October departure and lower fares we surly help fill up the tournaments, but with the help of Barona (willing to host satellite tournaments for the cruise) we should get between 240 to 300 players per tournament. All the entries and reentries fees well be paid backout 100% as prize money plus any extra sponsorship money we can get. We are also looking at bonuses for anyone winning two or all three tournaments, session and round winners, along with several other small bonuses for the players during play. I am also going to spread out the prize money so everyone that makes the finals and semifinals will make money (no top heavy tournaments). I want lots of winners and I think most of the players feel the same way. And don't forget, if you have a suggestion post it. If it looks like it will work or improve the tournaments we'll use it. Thanks for all your support and suggestion, Aces & Faces to all.
Comped Cruise I just found out the ship board casino will comp out players just like a land base casino. Comps are based on avg. bet and time played just like regular casinos. I don't know how or if they can comp your current cruise or if if will be good for a future cruise.
