Pre Bet Button ?

A "Pre Bet" button has as much opportunity to increase time as reducing it to place bets in my opinion. If a player has prior knowledge of their next bet, they should be able to make their bet in 2 to 5 seconds without a pre bet button. If they hit the pre bet button and change their mind for whatever reason, either they make a bet they don't want, or time consuming they have to cancel the pre bet which may not be an option dependent on the software. I would never make a pre bet without the option of changing my bet prior to final commitment.

Yes Rookie canceling your pre-bet would be an option as long as it was done before your turn.

As far as increasing time, it couldn't do that. The thirty seconds per play timer would still be in effect so there is no way it could increase the playing time only lower it.

Also I am not saying that all games would be lowered by 10 minutes or more, only that they could be.

Just think about the the time lost where a player takes 20-25 seconds to make a $10 minimum bet at the begining of the game? Now allow a pre-bet function for the players who know what they are going to bet and you knock off 30 seconds for each of those players, for each hand pre-bet.

Less say only one player uses the pre-bet option and than for only six hands that is thirty seconds saved each hand times six hands = 3:00 minutes cut from a games over all time.

Now less say 4 players all use pre-bet for the first three hands (all $10 minimun bets), that is twelve hands time thirty seconds = 6 minutes saved per game.

I think these are very realistic numbers I am throwing out here.

The concept of the pre-bet (once again Walts idea) and the auto bet is to be a time saver. I just feel a five player, fifteen hand tournament shouldn't have to last twenty-five to thirty minutes per game.
