Of what was said here is important. Just where does your line of obvious prejudice start? Does it start with Bill Frist? He isnt a hard religious type like Tom Delay. So, where on the right side of our political arena does the fanatical FALSE patriot right wing FRUIT LOOPs start? BTW the use of false patriot is also important because it opens the door wide to the rest of the party. Is it all of the right side? Its bullcrap like this that has turned much of America against democrat politics. It is the very arrogance that is found in the statement by Kuckzec. So, let it be known Kuckzec, where does your line of prejudice start? What about Mormons for example? They vote right wing by droves. Is the Mormon religion included as a group of fanatics? I think you need to read what I posted a little more carefully - I did not insult either Christians - of any sect - nor patriots - nor even conservatives - I insulted FALSE Christians, FALSE patriots, and persons of conservative leanings whose politics are LOONEY - that does not imply all Christians are false, all patriots are false, nor that all conservatives are looney - it implies I don't like HYPOCRITES - especially when they infringe on my freedoms - and abuse and misuse the beliefs and attitudes they pretend to profess as a justification for doing so -

I keep reading this carefully and still cant figure it out. Where your insult starts and where it ends. It has an undefined boundary. I dont think even you could define with certainty who is in this group. I live in Ca and farm for my family's operations, I am a chemical applicator running my own spray equipment, I am president and manager of a domestic and ag water company, I am a street vendor of avocados and various goods that I grow, I raise lab pups for sale. Ill tell you one thing that is a fact. The democratic party is the party of rules and regulations. They define the law that make business hard to operated. We had a democratic governor who, with the lower state government, almost destroyed business here. For example under Gray Davis my work comp went to 25%. Arnold has lowered it to 13.5% in his short term. So, if you think something like internet gambling, which is a true risk to the expanding lower class you claim is here in USA, is a good thing thats fine. Hell lets get rid of all the laws. Screw that buckle up law. Screw my spraying regulations Ill go triple the label. Screw taxes. Screw elections all in all. We are a free country. But we are also a country of rules. We are a country of structure. Our freedom is to debate and argue. To vote. To make money. If you want to be in a free country go to Mexico. Oh yea, Mexico is free you dont even have to work just grow a garden and raise a couple chickens. No wonder we lose so much population to Mexico. No wonder Mexico is a country with massive poverty, it must be the freedom. I think all this ranting is the product of the taken candy from a baby syndrome. It highlights the American Idiot. Jealousy over a right side that has proven to be of power for many years now and is in fact the most powerful political party in the world. Just look at the Supreme Court. Just look at who sits in the White House most of the time. Who has won more Senate seats over past two decades. All this in the face of our media who holds liberal views much as you do. Keep it up. BTW, Nancy Pelosi voted in favor of internet gambling ban as did a other far leftist liberals. Nancy is a far left liberal comparable to Tom Delay on right. I have nothing derogatory to say about her. I fully accept everyone no matter how far left they are. This is what makes me a true patriot, I would die for her and her views even tho most are not to my liking. I wonder where you stand considering your quote as far a patriot, or false patriot.....

Some would say ref., some would say instigate. I say neither. While I consider both TX and Joep my friends, I post my own opinions based on my own perceptions. Sometimes I agree with one or the other, and sometimes I don't. I would like to think they both appreciate and enjoy my candor, but you never know. You'd have to ask each of them if they consider me friend or foe.

As far as ref. for you two? I think I'll just sit back, and enjoy your debate......and throw in my 2 cents if need be.

more so than the knee-jerk liberal crowd - good honest caring thoughtfull and intelligent people come from all portions of the political spectrum - so do self-serving lying jerks - it is just that the jerks always seem to outnumber the caring thoughtful honest ones in politics

This seems to be the thread for cathartic relief, so I think I will get a little, too.

JoeP, I think I know what you meant, although you might have overstated your case a bit. I am old enough to remember that we once had more freedom than we have now. In other ways, many people had less freedom then too. It is hard for us to see our freedoms chipped away as they are. But I have to realize how much better off we are than much of the world around us.

As for the home of the brave, you just could not have meant that. I am sure that you appreciate the brave young men and women who are serving us so gallantly.

Many of us, and so many others fought for JoeP to have the right to state his opinion. I may not agree with him fully, but I support his right to make a statement.

I, for one, do not find debate on this board to be distasteful. That is, until it turns personal and ugly as I have sometimes seen in the last few weeks. It is not a good time for this, as we have the opportunity to greet a lot of new members right now. Please keep the debate at an intellectual level and let the personal issues be resolved in another forum.

Now I feel better. Thank you.
