    tgun,

What happened to BR2? He put up a $500 bet but we don't know what happened to him.

    Hey

As the “main event” approaches I wanted to wish the extended BJT.com family lots of luck today.

I’d also like to ask a favor. That one hand that tgun posted was a good thread for discussion and while I did not participate I learned from it. If each BJT.com member that was there wrote down just one (1) final hand, or critical hand during these next two tourneys we’d have plenty of material for the next few weeks – maybe until the cruise.

So please take a pen and some paper from the hotel rooms and jot down some notes as you watch you fellow BJT.com members “clean up” ok?

Bring home the bacon, talk to those cards, eat up those snappers – just have a great time and be safe all!

WARNING: Failure to contribute these posts will result in me being forced to post pictures every day – thanks to Rick I’ve got some “new” faces! :joker:

    SR over DD

Reachy, in general we should protect ourselves from opponents double by our own, but in this situation after our $410 BR3 can simply bet $10 and take a straight low (even over BR2's SR). That means about 48% of the time BR3 will overcome at least BR2 and about 31% of the time both of 'em. By the way, with BR2's $375, BR3 should bet $365!! to have a SR option over BR1's & BR2's straight lose. At the same time BR3 can still overcome both single bet wins by DD.
As we can see the order of play is critically important. If we play after the runner-up usually we can just mimic him and vice versa if we play before him/her first of all we should avoid giving him a low over our SR.
