    The "Smoke Scrren" explained

Thanks toolman and dreamer. I guess you guys caught on!!!

London, no one is calling you "stupid" unless of coarse you are playing on the crooked sites...

The news is ALWAYS propaganda anyways, so take it with a grain of salt.

    Good luck to all...

    Nothing Personal...

Nothing personal London Colin, but if in fact the shoes fit, good luck with traveling down that road to ruin in them...

If you or anyone else has been or is offended by my Post, that was clearly not my intention. I was only trying to paint a vivid picture of my personal take on all that is going on with this internet fiasco futility.

Finally, I get called things much worse than "stupid" at times, yet my mornings, afternoons and evenings continue to be fabulous!

    My touchiness explained

Skipper's comments seemed fairly clear and unambiguous. Any of us who does not join him in his boycott of all forms of internet gambling and tournament play is worthy of nothing but derision. The offence I took was meant to be on behalf of quite a large group.

Which ones would they be? You make it sound like there is a definitive list. Skipper's belief is that none of them are to be trusted. That's not a point of view I share, but that doesn't mean I don't exercise what caution I can. There are blacklists that can be checked, and this very forum serves the purpose of letting us share our experiences of tournament sites. In the end, though, there is a balance of risk and reward. Any form of e-commerce with a counterparty that has the potential to disappear overnight, and which is based in another country, clearly has the potential to go badly; just recently it looked like many British depositors might be losing all the money they had invested in collapsed Icelandic banks!

It seems to me that escalating this thread from a discussion of the specifics of the UB scandal and what has or has not been uncovered into an all-out attack on all things internet, is just as much a smokecreen as random number generators, etc.

I really was hoping you might decide to drop the chiding tone. :(

Something which you had already done on the previous page, telling us we need to get our heads examined. Once was more than enough.

Presumably, though, you would see the irony of someone calling you these things while simultaneously exhorting you to have such a fabulous time. It's like being told to smile by someone who is slapping you in the face.

    Final Comments...

America is still a free country, for now anyway, so the great thing we have in our favor is the ability and freedom to make our own decisions with regards to things like this. I suppose that many other countries, England included, have the same freedom.

Please be my guest London if you lean towards continuing to use whatever Internet Websites you choose, in order to satisfy your craving for gaming. Obviously, you do so at your own RISK with limited potential for ANY REWARD.

This is only MY humble personal opinion, for whatever it's worth. I understand that it's apparently not worth much in your eyes, so have at it my friend, and the best of luck to you regarding your play in the future. Hopefully, you will not have your fingers burned in excess, figuratively speaking, before you decide to stop placing them on the fire...

Make it a "Great Day" mate.

    Live vs. computer gaming

London, I was only referring to boycotting the offending sites. I do no play online as I have a bad opinion regarding online play but I do play a lot of cash games, living in Vegas. I have never fealt cheated in a live game. I was a computer programmer for 40 years, so I know what I can do with the computer.

If you are compfortable playing online, I say go for it. I am not one to critisize anyone for voting their wishes. If UB and the other sites involved do not make this right with the players, human nature will allow it to hapen possibly on the sites that you are supporting.

They must be procecuted. That was and is the ONLY point of my post. I am not against online anything if it is fair and honest.

This is actually an effect of global warming. And, more accurately, as a result, it is not collapsed Icelandic banks. Is it melting Icelandic banks.
