Blown Away Very few BJT'ers survived the quarterfinal rounds. I wasn't there, I took off as soon as I was done. In my own quarterfinal round I got run over by opponents' big bet 2:1 blackjacks in the last few hands. By the second-last hand I needed to win two max bets to be in contention on the last hand. Got A-9 vs 3, doubled and got the ten. But then the dealer drew out to 21 and it was time for me to hit the road. I heard later that Angelrun got on the final table, as did Doug, one of MrPill's crew. Neither of them won it, though. As usual, had a great time with LeftNut, BillyC, and the gang.
Knocked Out of First Round (x2) Even with two tries I did not make it to the second round. Second try I missed by $5! I had a miscount on my own $5 chips! Oh well, next time I'll pay better attention! Angelrun took 7th and my buddy Doug took 4th! Congratulations! -Pill
2013 events Kewadin's tourney calendar is very similar to last years. August event (St. Ignace) has been moved to last weekend in July but that's about the only difference. Billy C
March 8-10 DeAnn is now taking signups for this tournament at St. Ignace. I entered this morning. Billy C

jonny21 Our jonny21's daughter also made it to the semis in her first ever tournament. Impressive girl that was not at all intimidated and displayed a disciplined game throughout. She also won the drawing for free entry into the next event at this venue. Billy C
A great time in St Ignace as usual It was fun to visit with old tournament buddies, play some of that good pit blackjack and those 9-6 VP dinosaurs in the bar ! Too bad that those last semifinal hands kept some of our regulars here off the final table.
Soo The "Soo" is now accepting entrants for June 7-9th tourney. Seems like they cap this one at around 110 people so don't wait too long if you plan to play this one. Billy C
