No good news. Had a couple of matchups between BJT members in various rounds but in the end none of moved onto the third round that I saw. I did avoid the re-buy though and won a free entry ($250 value) into the next event at St. Ignace! Great weekend! -Pill
Thanks for the report, Pill. Sorry to here that no BJTers placed. Let's all do better at the Soo in September!!! It was nice seeing many fellow BJTers again. Billy C
It seems strange but I've been in a trend of making miracle draws on final hands at St. Ignace and still getting beat out by some fluke and /or strange results from either the dealer or other players. It makes the losses even more depressing when it happens that way (with frequency) but I guess it has to be accepted as part of the game. That's what I'm telling myself, anyway. On to the next one! Billy C
I've had periods like that. I've also have streaks where I just could not get the card I needed when I needed it. I once counted ten straight critical hand losses in a row. You're right. It is just part of the game. I've had it go the other way in streaks as well. I guess that's why strategic play is an advantage and not a guarantee. If luck was not part of it, we would fill the final table at Kewadin events every time.
I had forgotten about that thread! I should've said, "If we want to play a game where no random device is involved, play chess."
The tourney at the Soo this weekend looks like easy picking. I'm the only attendee from here listed on the event calendar! Billy C
Hey Gronbog - Good luck at Niagara ! Billy - I had forgotten to add my name to the event calendar. I know of three others from the site that will also be attending. See you there !
Yep, easy pick'n Billy. For the 1st time in 10 years I'm missing one of these. Wife and I are headed to Vegas with friends from around here. Group of 7 headed out there just for fun! You will only see a couple of the usual gang in the Soo from here. Good luck everyone! Pill
Sorry Billy won't be at this one either. Good cards to you and see you next time. Let us know what happens.
I was being a little facetious being that I know I won't be the only BJTer at the Soo. Just the only one listed I'm sorry to see that some of the regulars will miss this event and I hope they will all be at Tama next month (17th-19th) Billy C
Thanks Jonny. Time for you to start a new streak at Kewadin. Here's wishing a clear path into the money for everyone!
