Both of you need to get over your HUGE egos, which are unfounded and highly unmerited to begin with...

Secondly, you need to realize that there's more to life than your little gambling/blackjack world...

Finally, try to concentrate on "something of importance" that really matters in life instead of "majoring in minors"!!

Maybe it's time for another "self-imposed" retirement for someone.

Over a day has gone by since you had mentioned that you would post the information on the Dallas gentlemen's club going to host a tournament next week. So .... where, when, etc.

the rants section of my site is open 24 hours a day if anyone here has something to get off their chest! in fact Joep and Barney have made extra special use of it over the past month or so lol... the only thing i ask is, when insulting one another, don't forget to throw in a good jab or two for me! after all, it was originally founded as a place for people to talk smack to me (and send me the occasional love letter), so don't leave me out!!

i should have my blog and poll updated later today as well, and comments are always welcome there on that...

and as far as tex's comments earlier...i have to say, its a little unfair to characterize the UBT by saying "they don't want to be involved in offering free qualifiers for their tournaments" -- whatever the business, legal, or simply logistic reasons why they are not offering a free seat at some random club in Texas, it does nothing to overshadow the fact that there is a playUBT.com freeroll winner sent right to the final table of every single UBT television episode, as well as a host of free and up to $5 qualifiers for entries, airfare, etc to practically every UBT event through Bet21. I'd say that this more than proves that they most certainly ARE very actively involved in offering free seats for their tourneys!

Not trying to get in the middle of this, but it certainly needed to be said.

On a new thread...

For those that wanted to know the name and location of the club I started a new thread with all that information, (Local blackjack tournaments confirmed). I want to get away from the all the negitivity on this one.

And to Hollywood, I am sorry about the phasing, but it was Joep who said the UBT didn't want to be involved. I wasn't trying to slam the UBT, I only meant that since UBT didn't want thier name associated with them, that I was willing to sell them passage and tournament seats on my blackjack cruise as their award.

All other information about the Wednesday night "Free" BJ tournament maybe found on the new thread.

 

my objection/comment was only to your peculiar use of "since they don't want to be involved in offering free qualifiers for their tournaments" -- something that is simply not true, no matter who said what to whom or which venue ultimately comes on board as a UBT-licensee. in the future perhaps these types of constant rebuttals could be avoided if you just said what you mean first, rather than something else entirely.

not trying to be a dick, but this isn't the first time you've posted something negative about the UBT only to act as if you didn't mean exactly what you said after the fact...

I may not always be politically correct, but I really wasn't trying to slam UBT on this subject. If you go back a few weeks I was the one who first made the annoucement trying to promote that the club was originally giving away a seat at the Palms April event.

Being only 20 minutes or so away from a "Free" chance to Las Vegas and the $2,700 Palms entry fee was exciting for me, Swog, JMBelders, and a few others down here.

I was disapointed that they canceled the prize. I had heard a rumor why (I though they didn't have UBT permission to use there name), but it wasn't until Joep stated it was because of possible illegal actions did I know why they canceled the Palms UBT give away.

 

Well! Who would have bet on that?

So my two favourite players Txtourplayer and Joep are at loggerheads again (no disrespect to you noman I love you also).

Ever since I first saw them together on Global Player Casino they have been like cat and dog.

The only thing that surprised me was when Joe came back to the site was it took three whole days before he and Rick had their first row.

They are both great contributors to the site and as sure Night follows Day they will continue to disagree with each other and have their own strong opinions about the game.

I would not worry too much about the banter and exchanges between Joep and Txtourplayer because they can both look after themselves. Instead, spare a thought for poor Ken and Swog who have to regulate the site…lol

As I posted I'll answer anyones questions or try to help anyone get into a tournament, but most of all I won't be replying back to Joep anymore (on this site anyway...LOL).

I respect the wishes of the other members.

 

...and again, Rick: you would avoid having to explain yourself ten times over & over again if you would just eliminate the misconception in the first place. all i am saying is, the above statement by you couldn't be farther from the truth, nothing more and nothing less. you don't have to keep explaining who said what or why you were confused, the fact is, no matter the scenario or reason why it didn't work out with the UBT and this particular venue to host a single tournament, there is no situation in which the above statement of yours is true.

i hear what you're saying, but if so, then you would have posted something more along the lines of "since they aren't going to be involved with this club" or even "since they won't be hosting this event anymore" but to write something that clearly says that the UBT is just not interested in hosting free qualifiers anymore is just dishonest. You wonder why people like Joep and I constantly come down on you for slamming the UBT, well, here it is in a nutshell.

The lesson here is, if you don't mean something a certain way, then just don't write it that way. Everyone is misinterpreted from time to time online, but with you and this subject its constant.

I'm done making this point, please let's just move on. I'm sure you will post once more explaining once again what you really meant or why what so and so said lead you to believe such and such, so rather than respond yet again i would just direct everyone to re-read this post once again after reading his response to it....

It was never my intention to inflame the situation between you and Joep, quite the opposite.

I was merely pointing out about how you have both always argued and tried to wind each other up in the chat, which is normally good-natured banter and has give us all a good laugh in the past.

Why suddenly fall out about it now and decide to stop speaking to each other?
