Not Warm at all Andy you could not be any further from the truth .So your question of are you warm is answered by a "BIG" NO. Now as far a Ken's guess goes . The Joe Pane action figured was released about 20 years ago in Brooklyn New York.:joker: The Kung-Fu Grip is brand new and just a BJT exclusive for just 2 or 3 of my closest friends here at BJT. Any guesses on who the Grip is for here at BJT ? Joep
Got it Joep My last question was for purely illumination purposes only. Don’t blame me when I steal your thunder for the radio show announcement. My second stab at it is this. You will announce the formation of some kind of international membership that will regulate Blackjack tournaments. Tell me I’m right Joe. Andy
Counting down Joep I hope that you count down the deck better than you have added up my posts Still got one reply left, which I will save for now. Andy
My Guess Joep- Twice you've said this will be a major announcement about something "BJ players have been missing". You were very specific about "missing". Could that mean something we once had? Like the Hilton Million Dollar Tournament? Could your major announcement be that you've finally sealed the deal on your Two Million Dollar tournament? It's just a guess. -Elyssez
Ok, lets recap: You said, it's something BJ players have been MISSING It has NOTHING to do with UBT It isn't related to TV or film It isn't a "ratings system" for players - but that was warm hmmmmmmm..... Now when you say "missing" does that imply it was something that BJ players once had and now DON'T have a.k.a. missing OR does this "missing" imply something that BJ players always wanted but never got a.k.a. incomplete (as in part of the missing puzzle?) I've only got one more guess so I need that additional clue. PS. We know it has nothing to do with body piercings or hair color. Nevertheless the Kung Fu grip could turn some body parts purple
Count has been adjusted I believe you can only miss something if you had it before. But I will tell you this that not all players had it .So they may not even know it was missing. But to the players that had it they miss it. I know I do. As far as Andy goes you need to know that your mate Reachy used up your other guess. He told me that all you British guys share everything so he used your last guess. But to show you I can count a deck down with the best of them I have readjusted my running count to allow you 1 more guess. So for you its 2 down and 1 to go. As far as Elyssez goes,it is not about the 2 Million Dollar Tournament.Kenny and I tried like hell to get that up and running and we thought it was a done deal until the new owners at the Golden Nugget just did a complete turn on us and changed their minds after telling us they wanted it. Kenny and I even had a Gaming Attorney on retainer for all the necesaary legal work for putting this event together. I believe all things happen for a reason, the 2 Million Dollar Tournament would have suffered from poor attendance once the UBT Tour got off the ground. There just is no comparison between the two. Joep
Wishful Thinking (I actually started writing this last night before the WSOB aired, but didn't finish so a couple of similar posts got in ahead of me this morning.) Well, that could mean lament over something that once was or overlooking something that is. Which meaning would Joep imply? Here are my choices. 1. Anthony Curtis, having been taken in by Joep with the April Fool’s joke (LVA Link and BJT Link), has talked the Stardust into saving face by holding one last blow-out $200k BJ tournament. First place will be a guaranteed $100k and all formerly banned players will be allowed to enter. Nah, that can’t be it, they would still bar Joep and Hollywood Dave just for spite. :whip: 2. Jimmy Wike has resurrected the Million Dollar BJ Tournament at Caesars Palace. Nah, that can’t be it, Harrah’$$ is so chintzy they would insist on paying it out as an annuity over 30 years. :flame: 3. A Las Vegas casino, probably one that is still independently owned such as George Maloof at the Palms, will institute a high-stakes BJ tournament series with the match play format. This one is for real, and was hinted at by Joep on the radio show with Paul Haas and Hollywood Dave. --jr
I know! Why not just wait until Thursday show and then we'll all know what the "Big Annoucement" is. I bet y'all shake the presents at chrismas also...LOL, be patent and wait, it is only a few days away.
Something I've Been Missing Joep teases: "This is something that the blackjack tournament players have been missing ." I've been missing those roughly quarterly occasions in which a tournament player could play the Stardust Open, the Riviera Open, and the Frontier Open over a 6-day interval.
Big time nostalgia Ah, the golden years, when Blackjack was Blackjack and tournaments were plentiful! What happened?:joker: :joker: :joker:
could you clarify? Shake the Christmas presents! Heck no TX I used to open them when I found them, then re-wrap them! Patience is not in my vocabulary - besides it's fun to see where people's imagination can lead you. Ok Joe you clarified the missing part meaning that this BIG ANNOUNCEMENT has to do with something that BJ tourney players had before but don't have now. In addition it's something that YOU had and now YOU miss. My thoughts on that turned to MOJO - however after playing against you lately I KNOW you haven't lost your BJ MOJO. Since it isn't related to UBT, film and you missing something you had apparently you'll be getting it back? How warm/cold was Jackaroo's guess? I reserve the right to hold my last guess until tomorrow!
One Down 2 to go Philly Nice guess Philly ,they were great times back then but this is not the announcement. But if you want 3 major tournaments in a 6 day span just like the old days check out the UBT schedule they are holding 3 major tournaments in one week and you never have to even cross the street to get there. All held in the same casino. In addition to the 3 major tournaments they will be smaller 1,2,3 tables sit & go's for all to play in all week long. You may leave after one week on the UBT Tour with more tournaments played in one week than some have played in one year . I know I fall into that category. Does it seem strange that only a few players have publicly stated their enthusiasm for these events. Or is this board just for some people to bitch and moan about everything and anything. This is a great time for tournament blackjack and I'm just not feeling every ones excitement for it. I'm confused Joep
Nope Sorry Jackaroo, good stuff but not close. Jimmy Wike is one of the only casino executive's that treats and respects tournament players like they should be. He will always be welcome in our community by all. Well almost all there were 3 players who he would not let play in the Million Dollar Tournament. But they did sink their own boat on that issue. He was approached by Kenny and I to host it at Caesars. He was all for it but Harrah's shot it down because they were in the process of putting together their Millionaire Maker Tournament .Kenny and wore off a lot of rubber off our soles going from casino to casino trying to get someone to bite on it. We were real close 2 different times REAL CLOSE Both are good stories that will eventually wind up in my book on my "Las Vegas Adventures" not for the feint of heart. Joep
Based on this information I'm thinking this could be the BIG ANNOUNCEMENT New Viagra for BJ Tourney players Gets those soggy 14 & 15 hands to sit straight up! No more busting out! You'll take this New BJ Viagra and be able to play for hours at a time. No more limp and useless hands! Caution playing with new BJ Viagra and having 10-10 or blackjack for more than 4 hours straight can be cause for a medical emergency - see your doctor (DR. PAIN) for more details. :joker: Combine the new BJ Viagra with the JoeP action figure and THAT's how you get the Kung Fu Grip! Guess I have to wait for Thursday
Funny Sounds like thats not the only thing he has on his hands. But then again he's gotta find something to go for that last 3hrs and 55 minutes.
